76 is being repaved from Highway 65 to Highway 13 in Branson West. Work is being done at night from 10 pm - 6 am but some prep work starts about 9 pm at night. There are stretches with no markings on the road other than temporary reflectors to designate lanes. Saw 2 vehicles come extremely close to a head on collision about 9:30 one night. Another vehicle almost hit us and some others trying to figure out the lane situation near Roark Valley Road.

yes, I saw they had started dpoing that when I was done there last weekend..  I am surprised they are doing that,  since they are doing the "new" 76 remodel also.,...??

The Spirit of '76 project to make 76 more visitor friendly (more sidewalks, etc.) will take place when there is sufficient funding. I think the city had been counting on big bucks from MoDOT but due to state finances that probably won't happen any time soon.
