How are our OK folks and St. Louis folks this morning? Rough night in both places.

Junior

Rough weather all around us here in NW Arkansas. Cassville, MO got whacked with storms, down south of us around Alma, Arkansas, plenty of close calls in OK. News reports today 5 dead, 75 injured in OK. Hope all "weathered" the storm alright.
"Howdy there folks! My name is Junior Dugan, and I'll be drivin' your diving bell!"

The tornado in st Charles / St. Louis built up power as it passed us, and hit hard about 5 miles away from here. While in the basement, we heard the "freight train" as the tornado came by, which then proceeded to hit 6 of the schools in my district, narrowly missing my work/school but hitting the subdivision across the highway pretty hard. Graduations all cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow. Pole Vaulting / high jump mats at the nearest high school to the damage were tossed around like styrofoam.

I have been through one tornado before, chased for 7 -10 minutes while in NM and driving in a car, scariest weather related time until this. This was a helpless feeling, but by the grace of God we were spared, as were any other lives in our area. Casinos, hotels, arenas, houses, warehouses damaged, but no lives lost thankfully.

I hope the damge being reported is not a bad in the daylight as it seems to be in the dark.

Yes, it was, and horrifying for the wife and mother of two of the victims.  Sadness

I think about half of the deaths to this point were caused by flooding. I went through Banner RD and I-40 yesterday. Pretty messed up :( I sure hope the weather decides to settle down soon.
