How bad do you have it?
Like the Griswolds? ;D
Just enough so the neighbors dont think bad of ya? ::)
Or scrooge? :-X

Just enough so the neighbors dont think bad of us.
We have 4 cats, so we put a little fake 2 foot Christmas tree on a table, & put gifts on the table & on the floor. & we wrap the table with lights. Plus we have one of them ol' 70s light wheels in the window behind the tree. We hang garland around the windows out of the reach of the cats. We live in my moms ol' farmhouse, so the less holes in the outside wood, the better.
Live life like it's the last day!

I am getting to the age where I really HATE to spend much time outside in the cold putting up lights. For the last few years, I got some of those collapsable coil like Christmas trees that you can set up in the yard in about three minutes. When they burnt out last  year, I tossed them. This year, only some window decorations that can be hung inside. Some snowflakes and a Christmas tree. They light up, and look pretty good. Set up time is about the same as the yard lights I had, but now I'm indoors!
"Howdy there folks! My name is Junior Dugan, and I'll be drivin' your diving bell!"

I put a huge lighted wreath on each of the two big windows and one on the door.  A couple lighted fake pine foliage baskets hang from the porch railing (turn on the battery powered light pack and done!  Comes complete with timers.)

Here's a trick I learned a few years ago.  Get a couple of cheap spotlights and put colored bulbs in them.  Shine on the house - easy and looks great!  I haven't been able to find my spotlights for a few years now, since I let the hubs put them away.

I have to say, I'm pretty close to the Griswolds end of things. My wife & I both decorate the inside together, but when it comes to the outside...its all me! I love it. I plan on putting out all the outdoor decorations this Sat, I will probally start @ 9:00am and end around 6:00 that evening. It's pretty much an all day event for the outside stuff. We don't have any kids yet, but I have just always enjoyed putting up all the lights. Last year, my two nieces wanted to help me out; they had no idea what all it entailed, and they kept saying: "really...there is more left to do??" haha I think that will be the one and only year I get their help!  :D
Luckely we live in a neighborhood where everyone does do quite a bit. The house next to us does nothing, not even a wreath on the door..but everyone else really does try.
You have a great past just ahead of you.
