Well, so much for the simple life of the Ozarks!

But hey, if a person has the money, the means, and the way, then more power to them. They should at least open up one wing of the house as a bed, and breakfast.

even if I had the means to build something that huge I wouldnt. Really, its just not needed. Build a nice house by all means, just dont make a palace out of it. Its just silly!

It does seem outlandish. But a dollar to you, might mean something different than a dollar to someone else. It's their money.

There have been some articles about it in the Springfield News-Leader.  The guy building it owns a company and is trying to use all of his company's products and construction techniques in this one house.
