that sounds pretty late in the year swoosh, then you will be out for summer in another 30 days or so..

If you mean by "Spring" that another "Snow Storm" is coming, then you are correct. Very bright Sun Dogs yesterday in the sky. That's never good to see when the weather is nice.

FYI: Sun Dogs usually mean the weather will be the exact opposite of what you current have

Also, FYI - The farmers almanac says we are to have another storm in the next month. But, get this, it's supposed to make this last one look like it was just flurries.

I had heard that the almanac was predicting a major snowstorm on or around march 24/25th.. Hope its rain instead of snow

OMFG. We're the ONLY school not out today in my area. I just don't get this whole "WE'RE TOUGH" crap that our district thinks it has to prove. Yeah Yeah we got a freakin' basketball game tonight and it's Senior Night, WHO CARES!

Without starting a big "stir" about the schools.. Some time i think they are WAYYYY too concerned about the sports /events. than the actual schooling and safety of the kids....

So it REALLY WAS the only reason we went to school today - and then the other school called and said they weren't coming tonight (they called off today) and since it was a "non-conference" game anyway, it won't be made up

Remind me again why we had school today...

Today was terrible. Nothing but crowd control. The kids didn't want to be there and the entire day was spent listening to them whine about having to come to school today when everyone (literally EVERYONE) else was out. I tried my best to get a quality day in but I wasn't getting much help from the other teachers. It was "free day" in a lot of classes today and then when the kids came to my room they couldn't understand why I was making them work... gets old quick.

We were in yesterday, but rightfully so, even though we had snow, it was not bad here at all. We had a Professional development 1/2 day so I was glad we were in for that, I would have hated to have to make up a full day for a missed 1.2 day. Our neighboring districts about 20-30 min away (but still on the outskirts of our district got 6-8inches of SNOW, we got a wintery slushy mix that is 90% melted and gone now.
