Has anyone heard what will be new at some of the other theme parks in the midwest? What's up for Six Flags St. Louis, or World's of Fun. How about Frontier City/Whitewater Beach?  AND HOW ABOUT CELEBRATION CITY??? ANYTHING announced for that yet? I'm waiting...

Hey Junior. It's Frontier City/Whitewater Bay in OKC. No news or press releases since opening day. I always wanted them to have more of a theme like SDC (I'm biased, I know) The music is all prepackaged and there are not many shows. I think they should let me wander through the park with my guitar, fiddle, and Mando a la Danny Eakin, but I don't think they would go for that.

On second thought they probably would, they just wouldn't pay me...,

SFStL is getting a Top Fun Starflyer (http://www.sixflags.com/stLouis/rides/SkyScreamer.aspx)

WoF is upgrading their former Camp Snoopy to a Planet Snoopy, with several new kid's rides (http://www.worldsoffun.com/planetsnoopy/)

FC apparently isn't doing anything, but if they were to announce something, it was rumored that the old Six-Shooter Swings would come back.

The attraction at Six Flags looks fun...but this fat ole man will watch the action from the ground! I think my grandkids would love seeing the Peanuts characters at Worlds of Fun!

Wow, the new Sky Screamer ride at Six Flags does look interesting! However, the body to seat, plus height ratio looks a little off the charts for my taste! :P

I am with you Junior! Although I would easily fit in the seat, I think I would be better off enjoying this ride from a stable bench planted onto the ground.  :)

The Sky Screamer looks AWESOME. I haven't been to Six Flags since... oh, I think it was 2000 or 2001. Whichever year the Boss was new. That was the only ride I was able to ride 'cause pretty much all the rides had some sort of "upside down" element, and my mom wouldn't let my sis and I ride anything like that.

So, methinks a trip to St. Louis Six Flags is in order for me next year!

WOF announced today that they are going to be adding the 1926 MC Illions Supreme Carousel that used to opperate at Geauga Lake to the park for next year as well.  This carousel will feature 64 horses and 2 chariots.  The horses are completely made of hand carved wood and this is 1 of only 2 operating in the world of this model (there were originally only 5 made).  This will be one of the largest carousel operating in the country when it opens and the largest in the state.

It will be located where the former Festahaus catering tent was, which coincedentally has been retired in lieu of a new permanent catering facility that handle groups into the thousands and multiple events at the same time.

These new additions in addition to the already announced Camp Snoopy upgrade to Planet Snoopy bring next year's capital investment to over $8 million.

Work has already begun on all three projects and look for a tv special on one of Discovery stations on the rehab of the carouel on their show Extreme Rennovations in the near future.
