Royalities For Ride Designers

I was looking at a picture of King's Island's Vortex and was thinking of the artistry of a coaster.  Some coasters are so well designed that people would petition the park threatening to tear a ride down.  Other coaster are so poorly designed that riders ask the park to tear them down and try agian with the new space.  I wonder if parks have multiple year contracts in which they are required to pay roylties for certain rides that are specifically designed for a park.  For instance,  does SDC pay yearly fees to B & M  for Wildfire?  The more I think about it, I think caster designers should receive long term rewards for coasters that stand long term.  I think that it would make sense for a coaster designer to receive royalities after it has been standing for ten years and has proven itself.  In my world, royalties would only be paid on one-of-a kind coasters.  No Batmans, Boomerangs, or hypers w/ multiple shared characteritics would be rewarded.
