I'm so anxious for opening day that I can't hardly think of anything else. What's the general consensus on the expected crowd on Opening Day? I'm in Springfield, so I was planning on being there by 9am. Wonder how busy it might be that day?

I plan to be there by 8 to get my usual parking place.   Also going with friends and they willbe purchasing some tickets at the gate so we need to be there early.

I would imagine it would be like any other opening day.  Seems to me that Anniversary weekend would be the big crowd draw.  I am waiting this year...was there opening weekend last year and the crowd was lack luster at best.

I'm off work that day, and my family is thinking about going.  I haven't ever been to opening day before, and I couldn't imagine that a Thursday would be that crowded, but how crowded is it usually on opening day?

Well the weather forcast keeps changing.  Now it will be sunny and 60.   At this rate of change it might just be 75 and sunny by the time it really comes to pass.

Hold onto your hats! Just five days away!  :D

If you are going to the park on opening day, would you take a camera with you? I would love to see shots not only of RiverBlast, but also the area around Lake Silver where things were removed over winter. Also the area that the old apple butter cabin sat, and where the new apple butter shop is now. Thanks a million!

We'll be there on Friday, so if photos have not been posted by then, we'll have some up on Saturday on MiG (we'll have them up regardless)

In less than 4 days I will enjoying the sounds and smells of one of my Favorite Places.  I can hear the Blacksmith pounding, and smell the skillets cooking already?
