Joy

Yeah, I love Torchwood, too; Children of Earth was.... WOW.

Well, I'm always eager to meet fellow SDC fans; I suffer from Social Anxiety Disorder, but the antidepressant I'm taking helps with SAD, too, so I've been trying to get myself to be more assertive and actually try to meet people and make friends. LOL

DalesDaMan3

DalesDaMan3=Dales the Man... Its an Earnhardt thing!!! :)

Junior

Mine is very easy to understand, "Junior Dugan" was the role I played on park at Rube Dugan's Diving Bell. I worked on park from '78-'84, but didn't arrive at RDDB until late fall, '79. It just of easily could have been River Rat, for my time at Jim Owens' Float Trip, Wally Welch, for my time at the Welch's Vineyard Restaurant, Funnel Cake Guy, for time spent there, or some name connected to Grandfather's Mansion, the Treehouse, the Flooded Mine, the American Plunge, the Mill Restaurant, or the Mine Restaurant...Miner's Diner...Lumbercamp...Sorghum Shack...Berrys and Cream...back in the day, we worked where ever there was a need...where ever staffing was short. A name connected to my "citizenship" at SDC seemed most logical for me.
"Howdy there folks! My name is Junior Dugan, and I'll be drivin' your diving bell!"

PastorDon

My real name is Ron and I am a pastor, but I decided to use the name "Pastor Don" because I was called up on stage to play the hero in the Frontier Follies show in 2004 and Choctaw Charlie (Shannon) said, "Give the gun Pastor Don", after I "shot out all the lights".  He went on to comment: "You don't hear that too often!"
In His grip!

Ozark Outlaw

Most of my screen names on other websites are generic, and boring. For this forum I wanted something a little more creative, and something that captures a piece of true southern living.

So I chose Ozark Barbeque, or Ozark BBQ for short. Let's face it, there is nothing more enjoyable at Silver Dollar City than the Ozarks, funnel cakes, bluegrass, and barbeque!  ;D

Junior

One of my earlier jobs at SDC in 78 and 79 was making funnel cakes. I'm with ya on that one! I could eat one now!!!
I have enjoyed reading your postings. Keep it up!
"Howdy there folks! My name is Junior Dugan, and I'll be drivin' your diving bell!"

How-doFolks

We decided on our username by some of the employees at the park always saying "Howdy", or, "How do Folks?" We say it all the time now no matter where we're at. ;D
Live life like it's the last day!

haytater

I changed my user name from sonthew to haytater. hay = my name, hayley and tater = a nickname that evolved over time (hay --> hayder --> haterpotater --> just plain tater)

History Buff

I noticed in another thread - You do realize, don't you, that with this change you have sacrificed all seniority.  RIP sonthew (the name, not the person).
Always SEEKING Memories Worth Repeating

mbrownx4

For my name, the last name is Brown and there were four of us with first names that started with M.  (Kinda an unintentional Dugger thing going on).  I underlined "four" because there might be five of us within 6 monthts.
Vote to end 2020!

Tony from Tulsa

Well,..."Tony" is short for Anthony, my actual real name. "From" is a preposition, and the second word in my three-word user name. "Tulsa" is the actual midwestern town I am from, and is the third word in my three word user name. I hope this clears up any controversy out there as to the deep meaning of my user name, and in case you can't tell, this is sarcasm. And I'm laying it on pretty thick. ::)
No matter where you go, there you are.

okiebluegrass

I am from Oklahoma = OKIE
Bluegrass = kind of music that I like best

pintrader

I collect SDC trading pins = Pintrader

Andymeets1880s

Mine is if "The Andy Griffith Show" crossed with the 1880's. Silver Dollar City has the feel of both.
Andymeets1880s

Twinsmom98

My is very obvious I am a mother of twins that were born in 1998.  Not very creative but very proud of them.
