For an adult at Mollys or the Mine you are looking at about 30$/two adults. Give or take. A skillet was around the 8.99 range. Keep in mind if you are coming with children a few of the eatin places offer a 4.99 kids meal. However, when we got my son the chicken strip meal we were sorely disappointed. The "chicken strips" were both no bigger than two inches. It was sad. So buyer beware on that option. As far as rides first, hit the big ones like Outlaw Run, Powder Keg, Wild Fire and Fire Fall. I was not overly excited about Fire Fall. Especially the line wait for what your ride is. Big. Whoop. My family usually goes park opening to about 2pm for two days.

Hey my dear season pass holders! I was wondering if maybe just maybe if you were not going to use your free go kart coupon if you would mail them to me? You know, as a gesture of good will and peace on earth?

All in all it was not a bad weekend. The kid and I really did not have much of a line wait for most rides. We did not stand in line for PK because the lines for that were silly. I dont love PK THAT much. Tried Firefall on Saturday but due to the nature of the ride he line moved so slow. Tried again on Sunday and was able to ride it almost walk on. Did not ride the train this time. I am honestly bummed that the two train robbers are not brothers. This bugs me and I cant decide why. I want A and R to be brothers. Anyhow, it was an amazing weekend to show up. Spectacular.

Chatted up the guy running the Hi Striker. He quit his job and sold his home to move to Branson and work at SDC. He loves the environment and HATES working the Hi Striker. He said that people just complain and yell at him about how the game is rigged and unfair ect ect. He didnt want to do paid games long. I guess no one does.

So Opening Weekend Day one: BAG CHECK ALERT! If you are celebrating birthday/anniversary get a button from the general store. The park was not busy until about 2. It was really nice. We got there before the line drop and the Opening Ceremony was with Whoops E Daisy and Terry. Made a beline for OR. It was my sons first time to ride it. The last two years have been a bust for riding it. He LOOOOOVEDD IT!! Was at that moment a walk on. As was TGS. Another first for the kid. Another hit. Park was still not terribly packed. It was absolutly wonderful. FITH was rough. They sped the train through, really wish they would slow it down. The line was not long enough to warrant such speen IMO. The last drop was hard. THUNK THUNK THUNK CHUNK CHUNK. CHUNK. Used to so love that ride. From there we went to FL. Spent about an hour there. Saw a family with a GG refill mug. Want that mug. Son was impressed with the set up. I was glad to sit and let him run. It will be great when I take C and J next month. Rode a few more rides with minimal wait but more and more people kept coming in. There was an especially rude group of teens running amok. :( Took around 150 pictures. Posted to FB. Found the family with the GG mug sitting around the square close to the Taffy house. Asked if he wanted to trade. He just chuckled. I take that as a no. ;) Left around 2. Going tomorrow. I am impressed with the new signs and the attention to the celebration part. Like the way they are putting importance on Birthdays/Anniversary. More tomorrow!!

Was also there. I saw the Hi Striker was alive and well. Took FOREVER to load and unload the Racing Regatta. Son was disappointed the Electrospin was not running. Saw some new signage. Oh and if you are celebrating you Birthday or Anniversary you get a button at the general store, a free bag or peanut brittle at Browns Candy Factory, a bag of Kettle Corn, a free mini ice cream cone at Hannahs. And then there are the pop up SURPRISES!!

????? You can still go to the concert with your SP. You dont have to buy the 50$ ticket. This is for church groups. You can however buy a wristband if you want good seating. My coworker did that because she loves Skillet and already has the SP.

I am pretty sure I have not been to an EH show since I was a kid. Not that I wouldnt want to but I am pretty sure my husband just does not do closing hour crowds. He hates leaving with the masses. We usually stay at The Wilderness and use the shuttle. Or Deer Run. Again the shuttle. I would still be sad to see it go. It holds fond memories. And agreed it does contain a LOT of concrete. And I like where it is. Love the night stroll through a quiet park. :) Its charming.
