Branson Talk / Re: The Imagine Resort in Hollister

Information from a Construction interest message board.  The detail of the location matches with the construction south of Menards.  Hasn't officially been announced but it is expected to be a Hasbro waterpark.

Don't know if this will work for you.  This is where I saw the demolition info.

If you watch the video from October 1, the guy gives a brief speech and says its an exciting day for Imagine Resorts.

Construction currently underway just south of Menards on something and based on this video, I assume this is the waterpark.

Might seem like an unusual locations but if you go to Great Wolf lodges around the country, most are in the middle of shopping developments.

They had groundbreaking on this a month or so ago (ceremonial with pushing the button for detonating explosives). I think construction is underway on the other side of the area near Menard's.

So I had my first (and probably last) experience with MRF today.  Kids and I had been excited about the ride and this was our first opportunity to see it. When we got in line, we were informed that the ride had broken down but they were currently testing boats so it was assumed that it would be fixed shortly. We went ahead and got in line and waited about 15 minutes before it was up and running.

At that point, we waited another 1hr 15min and were about 2/3 through the line to the loading area.  They were only running maybe 6-8 boats. The lift only had a boat on every other platform when it would go up.

After 1hr 30min total wait time at that point, it was announced that the ride had broken down again. They said they had no idea how long it would take to fix and since the park was closing in an hour, it might not be running again.  The group in front of us said they would wait it out because they were in line yesterday when it broken down then and this was their only chance to ride it.  Kids and I figured 1.5 hrs of our day was sufficient to waste on standing in line and moved on to fire in the hole.

If we are there next time and there doesn't happen to be a line at the time, I might try it but probably not. Looks like a fun ride but if it breaks down every day and sometimes multiple times, not worth the risk to me of wasting all that time with nothing to show for it.

Branson Talk / Re: Guy Fieri Coming to Branson Landing

These type of restaurants are almost exclusively targeted at tourists.  I doubt anyone considers it fine dining but just a fun place to go with your family when you're on vacation.  The more of these places the better.  It means more tourism tax dollars for our town and schools to spend.  My kids thank Guy and Paula for supporting their education.

Don't forget the Shoji Theatre is for sale now too ... and the Kirby VB Theatre is still unsold and rotting away

Don't know if mentioned, but Kirby VB Theater currently under renovation and will be the home of Bloom Church.

Comfort Inn on Gretna is very nice and easy access off the strip.  It consistently wins awards from the national chain.

Johnny Morris nor any of his businesses have never had any connection or affiliation with Ranger Boats until this announcement.

I would imagine that new more intricate patterns on the tree would require a physical upgrade compared to just computer programming.  The lights are on the tree in blocks. Just like pixels on a TV, each pixel (or block) can be lit individually.  I'm not sure that anything smaller than the squares on the tree could be lit to a pattern without upgrading the tree to much smaller squares.

It's a grid.  They could easily go more complex.

I understand it's a grid.  My point is you can't reprogram a 720p flat screen to display 4k video just by rewriting the code.  The grid on the tv is not small enough or compact enough to do it.

Of course I don't know anything about the actual tech involved with the tree so I'm just expressing thoughts based on what I've seen.  I hope than can do more complex lighting.

Regarding the timing of food vendors closing, I bought dinner at 8:15 Saturday night and the lady said they could make anything on the menu for me. I was at Hatfields tater patch.
