Construction/Rumors / Fire in the Hole changes coming?

Was in the City this past weekend and talked to a couple employees who stated that management is looking at FITH. Good news was that one option was to completely rehab it. Bad news was one option was to demolish it. Anyone hear any concrete information?

Our family is going down to The City to view the Christmas lights Saturday, November 15. We are taking some new members of the family who have never had a family vacation let alone been to anything like The City. I am excited to take them but am wondering what the crowds will be like that day. I assume nice weather (above 50 and no precipitation) the place will be packed? Sort of hoping for overcast and cold myself, oh, but temperatures just high enough to allow the coasters to run. What is operating temperature for OR, isn't it like 45?

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Caboose?

Haven't found anything about this anywhere but I am curious; when we were there earlier this year, May to be exact, there was an old Missouri Pacific caboose across the tracks from the train shed. Does anyone know why it is there and what they would possible plan to do with it? I can't believe no one has said anything about it.

Hey all, I have been reading the forums for quite a while now but just never registered. Sorry, I should have been more interactive before.

I do have a question and wonder if anyone knows the answer. During the train robbery, Alfie and Ralfie usually do get some gold, silver, copper or dollars from the train. What do they do with that money? Is it donated to local charities like, I believe I read, the lost and found after a period of time?
