I am not exactly sure what you mean by i box conversion, but I will say the New Texas Giant at SF appeared to be the same as OR to me when I first saw it, but from what I understand it has had the track redone at some point.  I took the chance and rode it and it is very smooth.  I will not ride OR, too rough,  plus I really do not care for the restraint system.

Well OK.  I have to say I would take the old one over this new one hands down.  Maybe I will change my mind if/when I ride it.

For those who have rode it, how long would you say the new ride is compared to the old one?  Shorter or longer duration?  Drops about the same, more or less intense?

Wow the Honeysuckle shut down?  We used to stay there all the time and it was nice.   Sounds like a lot of changes going on, or just vacant properties being torn down.

Leaving it there until the space is needed seems like the thing to do as it adds to background decoration more so that a bare empty spot.

I had not planned on going to the city this year, but am thinking about a spur of the moment trip Sunday/Monday this week.  I thought about getting a season pass but remembered it would not be good until next year.  What are the cheapest options for day tickets?  I would think consider upgrading it to a season pass for next year if that is possible.  Does anyone know what the cost is to upgrade a day pass this year to a season pass for next year?  In years past I have bought passes well in advance and have never done the upgrade thing.

They do not even offer a pass that gets you both SDC and DW, so why would they buy more parks and have a all park pass?

Yes, that dip is there and it is VERY rough.  I love riding TNT but no longer ride it due to it being too rough on my back and neck.

Seems more like a takeover by Cedar Fair than a merger, but what do I know.
