I think it's a really good addition. The layout looks great for a family coaster and especially includes some genuinely fun-looking elements in the second half. The first half twister looks fun as well. This one's all about perspective. If you see it as a great family coaster for SDC, that's exactly what it is. And as much as I would have loved to see some drop tracks/switch tracks, all of those are cause for extra downtime SDC was looking to avoid. However, I also agree marketing stretched this quite a bit with the whole "longest family coaster in the Midwest" and "First in the U-S hype". I think we will find this to be more enjoyable than expected. Note: I'm also excited for a calm, comfortable, super re-rideable attraction to be at the park.

Also this attraction was never planned to coexist with Thunderation at all that's just nonsense. TNT's closure along with this new attraction has been in the works for the past 5 years. Anyways I will squash the beef my apologies I just want people getting the truth and not mislead. Nothing in this form will spoil the "bigger picture" for normal guests of SDC. But anyways no hard feelings.

Quote from: MidwestInfoGuide on August 14, 2026, 10:50:29 AMAnd finally congrats to hollijo for being the first to post what the ride was going to be. I'm sure a lot us knew you were right, but we couldn't just come right out and say it at the time.

Okay Swoosh, are you telling us that you intentionally said this was NOT at TNT replacement and also the announcement would be in September to intentionally deceive us into believing hollijo was incorrect?

Swooosh brought up that FanFest was probably when they were going to announce it, and that's not a crazy theory for anyone to think of. Several people mentioned that possibility as well.
he said it was "confirmed" to be in September and that the only "replacement" this is for TNT is that they are both rolleorcasters. He's not trying to hide what it is he just doesn't know what he's talking abt 😭

Swoosh has no connection to the park and has continued to be wrong in his predictions time and time again. He is going to say whatever he needs to say to protect his image lol. Swoosh also has no idea who "the little kid who doesn't know what he's talking about" is.

2029.  Unless plans change
But let's enjoy this for now
Swoosh don't try to correct me now after everything over the past months lol. They have still not fully ironed out details leaving the year up in the air. But yes let's enjoy this "direct TNT replacement" and thank you for the call out of being correct all along.

Quote from: hollijo on June 01, 2026, 01:20:29 PMI really wish this was something thrilling but it's not. Project 2027 is a DIRECT TNT replacement. This has been planned for the past 3+ years. Anyone who expects this to be on the same level of Time Traveler thrill wise is going to be disappointed. Obviously this will be marketed the entire family but this is not going to be a thrill machine or anything remotely close. It will be Thunderation's Mystic river falls with a first of its kind and some "family friendly" records broken. Herschened as a whole is pivoting entirely from Thrill to family and this will follow

The only "TNT Replacement" this ride will be is that they're both rollercoasters.  I guess you could make the argument it's replacing 1 for 1 but the REAL "TNT Replacement" is coming on 2029.  This ride was planned well before TNT decided to kick the bucket faster than expected.  TNT was expected to coexist with this new ride next season.
Swoosh, thanks for being the voice for reason amongst all these new users adamantly trying to convince us of something other than what's obvious.  I appreciate what you contribute to this forum.
I guess in August when SDC makes the announcement you guys will finally see this is not a thrill machine and Insted a Thunderation replacement. But in the meantime believe what you want lol  ;D
No one wanted to listen haha

Quote from: MidwestInfoGuide on August 04, 2026, 09:45:43 AMThis is all hilarious.  Jericho until you even said something I didn't even make the connection. Now that being said, it's more than a little creepy that it appears he used my real name to create his moniker.

But no, as much fun as that would have been (dang I'm flattered that you gave me that much credit) that's just some kid that decided to pop up for this cycle of new rides.  You OGs that have been here for awhile know we also have this happen... and then the ride gets announced and they disappear
Hey that's not nice I'm not going anywhere 😉

Quote from: Potential on August 03, 2026, 04:03:22 PMAnyways based on the scale of this attraction can we at least agree that this will be the most popular ride at the park and that this will long waits no matter what it is

It will definitely be the most popular attraction at the park. But it will also be a high capacity ride which should hopefully help with wait times.

Quote from: sdcfan88 on August 03, 2026, 03:36:47 PMHonestly this back and forth that's been going on reflects badly on these boards and if there are indeed park employees engaging in this silliness, this is subsequently leaving a bad look on the park itself too.

Just some food for thought, this is all I'm gonna say on the matter.

I agree what's the point of trying to get an answer when all we have to do is wait

I also completely agree. I will say I do not work for or represent the park. With that being said I will reframe from further back and forth. This should be a fun and welcoming space for people to discuss thoughts and ideas for SDC so my apologies if I crossed any lines.

I actually think you and MidwestInfoGuide (swoosh) are the same person. Your name gives it away.
Uhh thats kinda funny but no. He can attest to that lol.

Quote from: hollijo on August 02, 2026, 11:21:59 PMsome of you guys especially this "potential" dude are just so drastically misinformed. Gonna be a funny day for yall on the 14th

I think you'll be shocked at how many of us actually know what's going on, but are just "playing the game".

This is your first rodeo, so you'll get a pass this time - but the thing about "anonymous message boards" is that they're not really anonymous.  Again, you'd be shocked how many of these posters work for the park and are only posting things to help drive up anticipation.

Again, this is your first rodeo - but I'd suggest believing only half of what you're reading.  Course... you too could be from the park and weren't told who was who on here.  Isn't it fun?

Make sure you come introduce yourself on the 14th. I'll have a branded polo on so there will be no doubt who I am
Interesting. I find it hard to believe posting on a message board with at most a couple hundred people seeing it drives up much anticipation outside of extreme enthusiasts. That doesn't have much effect on a park attracting over 2 million guests per year. Nevertheless glad you admit it's announced on the 14th and I don't doubt that many people know what's going on. Can't think of the last time SDC successfully and truly "surprised" people. Herschened as a whole follows a very predictable and highly stable business model. (Centered around families 😉)
