Quote from: Duelist on June 10, 2026, 08:14:55 AMI didn't get screenshots either but here's what I posted after I got the survey with the 3 choice names:

I got an email a couple of hours ago from SDC about the naming of a new family coaster being built.  The name choices were:

Miner's Rush
Prospector's Rush
Daredevil Railway

I was asked which name I preferred (I picked Miner's Rush) and which names fit in with the theme of the park.  I was then asked who I thought the name would appeal to (pre-teens, teens, adults, older adults, etc).  Then I was asked to put the names in order as 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice and I put them in the order above.  The first questions asked were if I and my family were season pass holders and to choose from the last 5 years if we had bought season passes (we have all 5 years).  Unfortunately this sounds like a T-N-T replacement to me.

None of these names have any active, pending, or historical filings in Class 041 (Amusement Park Services) with the USPTO.  I can't imagine SDC would publicly release potential ride names without having secured (or at least applied for) the trademark first, be it through a shell company or outright.
Good point, it's interesting tho  because they don't have any trademarks out for ride names (Where they have a lot for new shops and restaurants) They obviously know what it's going to be called I think they are just waiting to trademark it until it's closer to the announcement so people like us don't find out.

My thoughts are that THIS will be the TNT replacement.

Sorry I did not get screenshots (yes huge  ;) fail on my part)
TNT's replacement is coming in 2027. This will either be a STRYKER, Hyper or another family coaster. Also to be built by MACK.

Do not cite the deep magic to me witch, I was there when it was written.

In other words, get lost kid

QuoteAlso people are forgetting this park literally built and marketed an Xtreme Spinner for families. Yes it will have its own unique flavor bridging high thrill and family coaster so the classifications kinda get thrown out the window here.

*Cough*
Its a Mack Mine Train style ride lol. It will do some first of its kind in America and break some records but Its not that deep. I dont what sources tell you guys otherwise but they are flat out wrong lol.

Quote from: shavethewhales on June 09, 2026, 01:12:21 PMRealized yesterday that I never posted the photos I took a week ago of the construction progress: https://imgur.com/a/nTq5yd7

I would be surprised if this is a high thrill coaster, just because that means the park basically will be truly dominated by what most people would deem high thrill coasters. It seems like an odd choice for a place geared towards families. Also, why would you need another looping thrill coaster right next to Wildfire? Then again, why would you need another family launch coaster right next to PK unless it was a lot smaller?

There's not a lot of room to work with, nor are there many good records left to easily break, unless they are going for something incredibly niche. Knowing SDC, that might be exactly what they are doing.
I agree, I feel like a lot of people in this forum are being mislead by what they presume project 2027 to be.

Quote from: hollijo on June 03, 2026, 05:43:37 PMI guess in August when SDC makes the announcement you guys will finally see this is not a thrill machine and Insted a Thunderation replacement. But in the meantime believe what you want lol  ;D

The announcement will be in September. If you're going to try to convince people online that you know something, it's best to at least use the correct (already confirmed) dates.

*IF* I were someone looking for information (like what type of coaster and supplier), *I* would keep an eye on the import lists.  *I* would also keep an eye on the trademark clearing houses if *I* wanted to know what the ride was going to be called.  But that's just *ME*

You have your homework, class dismissed

Quote from: hollijo on June 01, 2026, 01:20:29 PMI really wish this was something thrilling but it's not. Project 2027 is a DIRECT TNT replacement. This has been planned for the past 3+ years. Anyone who expects this to be on the same level of Time Traveler thrill wise is going to be disappointed. Obviously this will be marketed the entire family but this is not going to be a thrill machine or anything remotely close. It will be Thunderation's Mystic river falls with a first of its kind and some "family friendly" records broken. Herschened as a whole is pivoting entirely from Thrill to family and this will follow

The only "TNT Replacement" this ride will be is that they're both rollercoasters.  I guess you could make the argument it's replacing 1 for 1 but the REAL "TNT Replacement" is coming on 2029.  This ride was planned well before TNT decided to kick the bucket faster than expected.  TNT was expected to coexist with this new ride next season.
Swoosh, thanks for being the voice for reason amongst all these new users adamantly trying to convince us of something other than what's obvious.  I appreciate what you contribute to this forum.

Yup, time will tell! Going to be a very exciting time for the Park!

I have been told thats the case. A Thunderation replacement doesn't mean the same ride or that it cant be a first of its kind in the States. But its going to fill the same hole left by TNT in SDC's lineup....

Probably longer, better themed and more unique but its a TNT replacement. Think of Mystic River Falls replacing Lost River, it was the first of its kind (tallest fastest etc..) this will be no different.
I hope im wrong.... I would love a hyper or stryker
Sounds like you have some inside information.  I'm not convinced it is a TNT replacement.

Obviously I dont think it would be even close to a clone but I see it having similar speed and height while being much longer. And no im not dumb enough to think they would build another spinning coaster (thats not what I meant by similar). I am talking about a low to the ground well themed family experience by Mack. And I'm sorry but if you really think Herschened is building a Hyper coaster after getting rid of their only family coaster you're delusional. This is going to be a family coaster. Even if it is a striker its going to have multiple lift hills (as does Cobras Curse). This is going to be a mine theme type ride much more similar to a Cobras Curse (in terms of family feel) than a Voltron or Hyperia lol. It is probably going to be something Mack hasn't done before period.

The more I look at this the more I think it could be kinda similar to Cobra's Curse at BGT (But on Steroids). That is (family-thrill) and I think SDC would blend a Mine Train theme and some sort of first of its kind element(s) into it but a similar ride experience overall. I think it would be neat to see some sort of backwards train option like OG TNT before it was taken away as well. I do however, think it will be the longest rollercoaster in the park in terms of length and duration by far. As well as the largest investment in SDC history. Anyone who thinks Hyper is sadly delusional. I see this staying pretty low to the ground with some small lift hills here and there to stretch out the length and duration.

Finally. Hopefully we get some track soon. I heard blue supports somewhere but assuming its now black? As much as I would love to see a blue coaster that doesnt seem like SDC...
