Construction/Rumors / Re: SDC's 2019 Project(s) and Park Developments

WOW, crazy.  We were there Saturday, the weather was great, the river was running but we did not ride it.  I guess we should have.

What always confused me is all year this year, it seemed they were only running 2 rafts at a time instead of 3.  They would always load the front 2 and send the 3rd out empty.  I never once saw the line going around thru the back main entrance, it always lined up way down the bridge and went in the front.  This seemed to increase the wait time quite a bit.  I never understood why.

I am thinking this is the first I have heard about an earthquake damaging it, or maybe I just forgot.

We were at the City for a little bit Friday afternoon and Saturday.  We got there at about 2:45pm and the crowds were not too bad.  We rode all the rides we wanted then left at about 5 I think.  Saturday we got there at around 9:45am or so.  We walked on to every single ride we wanted to ride with no wait at all.  We rode PK totally alone as well as FITH.  We back and rode PK another couple of times.  We then walked around and checked some of the booths out for a while, then rode TT toward the end of our visit with about a 30 minute wait.  This was around 12:30pm.  I think when we first got there everyone else headed to TT first, so we were able to walk on all other rides for the first hour or 2 they were open.  By the time we left before 1pm the parking lot looked full and the square was starting to fill up.

One other thing of note, we noticed they were setting up tents in the area behind the admin building to the right of where the trams pull up.  We asked the stop 1 driver what that was and he said he was not 100% sure but he thought they were setting those up because they think the crowds for Christmas will be so huge they will also bring people in around that side (maybe that is the employee entrance)?  Anybody else heard that?

I wish they would get rid of the holly jolly parade.  It is not so much the parade itself, but its the people crowding around to see it and suddenly becoming extremely rude.  I have seen many fights almost break out while waiting.

Easy solution,
do as I do.....  be elsewhere..   LOL

I would love to do that, except the wife insists we watch it.  I will try the FITH area or GE next time

My worst hotel experience in Branson happened at there at Westgate.  Absolutely horrible service.

I think the OP means they bought one and are bringing their own rather than renting one

Where is their location?  We have always got our show tickets at the purple building.

I have not received such an email, but then again I have been on a cruise ship for the last week so maybe I did and just did not see it.

That is why I only ride OR about once a year, I really find the restraints and/or seat uncomfortable.

Well I don't know about caves but I can sure say that parts of the TNT track sure have shifted or sunk a little since they started on TT.

I got ya, I just always assumed king rooms must be more expensive for some reason.  Now I know!

Just got back from a 2 night mid-week stay at Classic. Didn't see much of the owners. Noticed some more minor changes. The room we stayed in with a king bed used to have an arm chair; it had been replaced with another bedside table. K.D. said she would let us know if she moved on.

You got a king room?  They always give us 2 queens or doubles, whatever they are.  I thought the king rooms were not available on our rate

I for one would love to stay with KD as well.  I really do not understand why she does not tell them to stick it.

I thought about trying them last night but may give it a shot tonight.  BTW I am not at the Classic because yesterday was a personal night.  Today I am working so I'm at the Hampton Inn
