Stormdar says too early to get excited about it.  Storm just now starting to come ashore.

Oh I agree. But people need to be aware of the possibility. Letís face it.  3/4 of the people
In this country canít find themselves in a map so there is no way they can read a radar. There are a lot of people that will need to make a decision on whether or not to cancel their trip before they know exactly what this storm is going to produce, if anything.

Looks like the area is in for a major snowstorm this weekend. If you plan on being in Branson, make sure you keep an eye on the weather. I know many people have already cancelled their plans. If it comes like they say it will,  the 8-12 inches of snow will cripple i44 and the Branson area from Friday evening and all day Saturday.

Sunday, another poor number for the park..  Was the weather that bad down there..  I know it was BAD here,
30-40- mph winds
4 degree wind chill
blowing snow ALL day...

But in Branson?...  anyway only 5400 people.~,

May have been a good day to be there and look it all over...

Well...the weather wasnít great. It wasnít too cold in Branson for most of the day, but once the temperature started to drop, it dropped 10-20 degrees in an hour and by dark they had snow flurries. The wind was horrific all day though. Gusts to 50 mph . It certainly shut the high flying rides Iíd think.

I did a quick search last weekend and found a post about 29,000 one day in May 2018.

The weather wasnít perfect today but we went anyway. A high of 46 is a bit chilly for November 4th. Anyway...

Attendance was around 6000 at 6 pm. The city looks beautiful dressed in her holiday finery. Seriously, the attention to detail is astounding at times. We got there at rope drop. Walk on to thunderation and a 10 minute wait for time traveler.  Done. Off to the measuring station (move it to the top of the hill!!!!) and to do some expo rides. All walk on. Met Rudolph and clarice. Off to the outlaw run area. Again...all 3 rides walk on. Now we see powder keg is open. Get there as fast as possible. The ride is done twice. Iím attaching a photo of my daughter riding pk for the first time. She was screaming ďIím gonna die!Ē Over and over again before take off. We laughed so hard we were crying. However, she ended up loving it and she then rode every coaster in the park..all for the first time. The big kids split off for more coaster time and we took the littles to meet Santa. Then down to firemanís landing.  Again...the most time to wait was 1 round. Ate grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner. Then a buzz through midtown and stopping to watch the tree. Overall, it was a great day. I kind of dread our trip in 2 weeks...it will be on a Saturday.

When we left at 6:00ish this evening, the taffy lady told me attendance was around 6000 today. It was amazingly slow and wonderful!!  :)

@DianaGail,   why are the kids out.?   I think we have school everywhere up here..

Some school districts have gotten smart and realized the time change is hard on kids. So, to give them an extra day to get over it, many schools in the Joplin area will have inservice days on Monday.

We got ours at the tater twist stand.

Mom was using an old one at the grilled cheese stand. They asked to see hers so they knew what to charge her. Most places donít ask to see them anymore.

We bought the free refill mugs. It was a great deal. We earned half our money back on each in just one visit. The each have a sticker on them. If the sticker isnít there, they will not refill it. It is good only for pop and water refills. Specialty drinks are regular refill prices. You can refill them through the end of the year.

Our group bought 4 total. We got 3 different years. I assume they have a warehouse full of them and thatís why they are doing the promo.

My parents went today. They were given a room. When they opened the door, it was still occupied!!  Coolers, luggage, etc everywhere. It was around 3:00. That means 2 things...#1...the room wasnít cleaned or they would have known. #2....they were lucky someone wasnít actually in the room.
