Branson Talk / Mr. B's Ice Cream Parlor.
« on: September 13, 2018, 07:38:51 PM »
As many of you know, I am friends with The Haygood bunch, that being said. I am pleased to make this announcement for them....

Mr. B's Ice Cream Parlor is Located in old downtown Branson, On the Corner SE corner of Main and Veterens Blvd.. Just across the street and West and up the hill from Dicks 5 & 10.. .

I am happy to announce that there are new owners for this business.!! YES!! Thats right, Three of The Haygood brothers went together and purchased it. They actually got possession on Labor Day Weekend. The previous owner is staying on for a bit, to help with vendors and suppliers.

You will see many of the old faces behind the counter and of course new faces too.

They are not planning any BIG changes, but rather lots of little ones. They will be keeping the 50's theme ice cream parlor.

The menu is going to be tweaked and improved, with very few deletions, but several new items to be added, again this will happen over the next few weeks..

Probably some new seating, booths and such.

Since The Haygoods are involved you can expect some major lighting changes and additions, Both inside and outside..... Lots of L.E.D. of course..!!

Being this late in the year, I am sure there will be lots of stuff added and modified through the winter months.

They are open for business, and looking forward to the fall season in town, stop in, have a cone, or chili pie, Ice cream sundae, or chili dog, or regular hot dog or choose anything off the menu, take a minute and relax, check it out and look around for the guys. No telling who may be hanging around...Tell them hi, and let them know about your visit..

Branson Talk / Summer Car Cruise to change weekend in Branson
« on: March 07, 2018, 02:50:22 PM »

Not sure the PTB thought this through...  SMH

Cruise will be in Sept.,  AFTER school starts.  This will count out the family attending all 4 days, now will only be there 1 day, Saturday..??

No Midnight Cruise...  hundreds of people usually line up to watch this event on Sat. night.... BUT not this year.. Thye will have to find something else to do... OR they wont even come to town.... :(

That doesnt even count the fact that thousands of people schedule this weekend a year in advance... Now those people will have to scramble and change room reservations and make other arrangments...

Branson Talk / All Access Branson 417-332-2121
« on: February 05, 2018, 11:22:24 AM »
All Access Branson is the company I use in town to buy show tickets..    They can save purchaser at least 10.00 per ticket.  Most tickets are 35-40.00 per person, that is a savings of 25% or more...  A few of the shows have steeper discounts than that..  I deal with Michele, great lady, easy going, and if she can save you some extra money she will..

Their business is selling tickets, NO condo sales pitch, NO time share, NO upselling.. Call order tickets, they deliver, you enjoy your stay in town.

They can get you combo tickets to Ripleys, House of Mirrors, Wax Museum.  Also can get you other tickets to other attractions in town, But not all 25& off..

They have a website, so you can check show times, attraction hours and prices..

I connected with these people years ago..  This is a locally owned Company, by a local family.. They also run the place themselves,...  I think there are 3, maybe 4 generations working there..  All great ladies.. They Have been in the business for over 14 years.   They will deliver the tickets or vouchers to your motel/condo for no charge. That way when you check in, you can pick up your envelope and your ready to go!!.   They also have the SDC 2 for 1 tickets if you need them..

I have only had 1 mess up on tickets, I called Michele from the motel explained the problem..  She called the the show, straightened out the problem, called me back in like 10 minutes and it was handled.!  I went to the show, they had my tickets all ready to go at ticket office.. NO running around, NO exchanging wrong vouchers for right ones.. NO hassle.

So Give them a call if you need show tickets, If you talk to Michele, tell you are from SDCFans club, and that Dan from Lyndon told you to call.....

Branson Talk / New Name for Dixie Stampede
« on: January 09, 2018, 04:53:30 PM »
I just saw this on another site...

I cant help if there isnt a different underlying reason for change ::) ::)

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WATE) - Dolly Parton's "Dixie Stampede" will have a new name for the 2018 season.

In a release Monday, Parton announced the show will go by the name "Dolly Parton's Stampede" when it re-opens in late January for the 2018 season.

“Our shows currently are identified by where they are located,” Parton said. “Some examples are Smoky Mountain Adventures or Dixie Stampede. We also recognize that attitudes change and feel that by streamlining the names of our shows, it will remove any confusion or concerns about our shows and will help our efforts to expand into new cities.”

The dinner attraction, which is owned by World Choice Investments, has plans to expand into new communities around the world in 2018.

There are currently locations in Pigeon Forge; Branson, Missouri; and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
