Wonders of Wildlife

Does anyone have insider info about Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield?  The website mentions a re-opening in late 2010, but every time we come to town, the place seems abandoned.

Last I saw on the news here, the project has been postponed indefinitely.

There's some good info provided on their website here:

Yeah, but I think that's been on the website for a while.  I hope it does reopen; it was a top-notch attraction.

There was some minor controversy in town about WoW not having to pay taxes to the City or something of that nature, and not having to provide updates to the City per its contract.  I think a large portion of it was a misunderstanding, but from what I've read in all that rabble was that it is supposed to open sometime late this year like their website says.

IMO they never should have gotten in bed with the city, but I'm not close enough to understand all the workings and I realize they probably had a good deal there.

This was on local TV, last night.  Wonders of Wildlife is changing names and is hoping to open its expanded facility within the year.  Some ocean critters are already in there.  If it all comes true, this will be a great draw for Springfield.

The man works at his own pace but that will an asset to the region. I wonder how the museum element to Top of the Rock has progressed

I bet some one several years ago, before the dozens of rebuilds and change of plans, the museum probably wouldn't be finished during Johnny's lifetime. Seriously, Noah "built" the ark in less time. I have no desire to visit it...

I've actually been impressed that when construction finally got started on the Pyramid on how fast they've been going.

They certainly wanted it open for Memphis in May that brings tens of thousands downtown for multiple events.

I think Morris keeps WOW closed so he can use it personally. I mean, I would.
