If there were going to be shops or anything else they would have said so. The new area is the pathway connecting Wildfire to PK. It is not a large area, it just ties it all together.

Lampie

I don't think there is much space to add any food or shops.  That said, it's possible they will add 1 or 2 very small food/shops on the path. If they are doing that, I think they will announce it at Fan Fest.

I imagine we will learn more on 9/18 but it seems there will at least be a couple shops.
Got it.

For those disappointed in the scale of the ride: it's a thunderation replacement, and SDC is investing 500 million into the park over the next decade. At the very least, we will get one more large coaster, if not multiple.

I'm hoping we get a Stryker in 2029 and then a Flooded Mine dark ride replacement with the Mack "rocking boat" technology.

The new area stretches from the PK arch to the American Plunge arch and includes those 4 rides

I rode NightFlight Expedition a few times and it is a really fun ride system. I don't really see how you could keep the shooting aspect of Flooded Mine with it. I think you could do a really cool ride based on Flooded Mine, but I also think the park would need another target shooting ride. We really miss having one at Dollywood.

It is pretty interesting thinking about the attractions that SDC doubled down on that didn't really stick at Dollywood. Gyser Gultch/Firemans's Landing compared to Raintree Forest come to mind.
