Swoosh

It's a mine hoist tower.

Hearing rumors it was originally from a mine on the southeast part of the state... but I have been unable to (so far) find documents proving that.

I love the authenticity of that's true.

That's epic. Thanks for the confirmation

Heart Of The Hollow

New update: whatever the new ride will be will be announced on August 14th at the Mini Miners Crew meetup. I talked to an employee and they confirmed this.

The employees are also saying they are building the worlds biggest Subway.

Hopefully we will have a good idea of the scale of this by then. I'd imagine track should start to go in by mid-July.

Indeed its crazy we are almost to July and we haven't seen any track or supports as of yet despite the unconfirmed sightings. They have been in the pouring footers stage since October as more still continue to pop up.

As of last Sunday, there were round welded columns, look just like supports, in the staging area, as seen from the lift of Outlaw Run. Won't be able to go again until later this week at the earliest. I live pretty close, but it is still about a 60 mile round trip by the time I make it around the lake, have to manage my fuel.

Early August  ;)

BackInTime

With a creative/branding background, I get caught up in the promotional, naming and thematic details of new attractions almost as much as the rides themselves. Anxious to see how this one unfolds. I'm guessing it's overly plausible, but it would be very cool if this new coaster went all out with multiple tunnels and an indoor element. Canary's Curse or Descent would be very cool names befitting the mining theme as well.

Unconfirmed sightings of track??

Swoosh

No track.  But there are supports next to Outlaw Run.  Obviously no photos because they're not visible from the park except on the coaster and we don't do that.

Wildfire

I sure do wish those track pieces would show up so we can shut down these new posters that keep wanting this to be a kiddie ride

RowEleven

I think it's pretty well established that this will not be a kiddie ride. A family thrill ride? Yes. But not more intense than PowderKeg.

What is more, the camera lens required to get a good shot of the staging area would look out of place on the Frisco Silver Dollar Line, let alone a roller coaster. Good knot hole shots will be available in due time :)
