I know it wont happen but something similar to FireChaser like DollyWood has would be awesome. Cant tell you how many times I rode FireChaser.

You can see the track layout starting to take shape. I hope it goes out a little further.

A launch out of the station down the hill with a pause for a little show, then something explodes back would be so sick, especially of themed right with the caves and such. 70 to 80 mph would be sick, but that's wishful thinking. This is going to be something the entire family can enjoy. (The Herschened Way) I'd expect some insane theming and cool story with caves, etc...

Going to be interested to see how Herschend's Markets it though, considering Time Traveler was kinda marketed as a "family thrill ride" if this is the same, then who knows how wild it will actually be.

I know Mack launched seems to be the consensus, but what if it was a vekoma stc/boomerang combo. I saw this on airtime thrills. That would also check off the multiride box. First one in NA. There are 2 overseas.

Ooh or what if it's a joint venture with Mack providing the main rollercoaster and dynamic attractions providing everything in the "mine" via there sfx coaster model. None of those in NA.

Dunno if they would be compatible. Just puking out ideas.

How about a suspended launch?  Is that a thing?  Could it be a thing?  SDC doesn't have a suspended coaster in the collection.

Themed to bats flying out of the cave/mine?

I previously pondered that idea considering the parent company is adding such a coaster to Kentucky Kingdom, though I'd hope they'd be more original than cloning The Bat at Kings Island if so.

I am almost positive this will be coming at some point eventually. Just don't know when. I've always pictured it being where TNT currently stands.

Man that would be pretty sick. Have it roll out of the station right into underground tunnels with faint or sparse lighting. It would give you a crazy rush and feel of flying and narrow misses. Then have it launch out of the tunnels to make its return back to the station.

So, since it seems that the ride has been delayed by a year, when should we expect an announcement? the last couple have been in the summer, iirc mystic river was in June and fith was in july.

Duelist

^ It was delayed per our guesses.  For all we know it was planned for 2027 from the beginning.  I would expect an announcement around August right before 2027 Season Passports go on sale.

I'm not sure there's any reason to believe it was delayed. They have had their hands full of projects over the past couple years. I could easily see it being the plan all along to open it in 2027. That way the new resort has it's own year to shine. They don't seem to need any extra help to get the crowds at the moment.

sdcfan88

They actually have all of their "official" announcements in August but yes it will be for 2027 now.

It will be at the 2026 Fan Fest
