Quote from: jericho on Today at 02:21:08 PMI always wondered why they built a roller coaster so close (or is it actually on top?) to the cave. It's amazing that the foundations of the ride have lasted as long as they have.
I know its close, but can't say for sure its right on top of cave path. The sinkhole to the entrance room is just to the lift hill's left. Durning the lantern tour, they used to say one of the original idea for TNT was to literally blast into the cave again, and run the ride thru it, but they thought better of it and designed TNT with a  man made tunnel instead. The vast majority of the ride is probably sound, but all it takes is slowly shifting ground in a very hard to reach spot, and it would make for some very troublesome repairs.

Keep an eye out on Time Traveler as well 😉

Also this attraction was never planned to coexist with Thunderation at all that's just nonsense. TNT's closure along with this new attraction has been in the works for the past 5 years. Anyways I will squash the beef my apologies I just want people getting the truth and not mislead. Nothing in this form will spoil the "bigger picture" for normal guests of SDC. But anyways no hard feelings.

Well I was wrong about a drop track and launches unfortunately and some other theories I had that I knew likely wasnt gonna happen, but had high hopes for them anyway, but 2029?! That's ok though, the ThuNderaTion gap is filled as I had predicted, it's gonna be a great addition and replacement for it! Glad I got to be there and interview Max from Mack Rides about this and Brad Thomas. Can confirm there are supports on site, and the coaster goes through the 3rd story of the loading station!! Also the frame/tower/hoist is now the tallest point in the park, can't remember if that was said in the livestream so much has happened today it's been a whirlwind, however that hoist comes from around my home town which is in Missouri, solid touch! So this project is close to the heart for me in many ways! Video on Monday also heartofthehollow pleasure meeting you today so glad you were a part of it as well!

Something much bigger lol

There was a dump truck and some other machinery on Indian Point Road just outside the TT gate when we left the park.  A worker was getting ready to open the gate.
