I was looking through some old SDC photos and found these two from 2004.

Miss this part of the train ride!

The hobos are back!
[Edit: Turns out the hobos are not back but at least they've gone to a good home.]

I can confirm that the Hobos are back, fully restored by some loving employees, and will be ready for the 2022 season at Hobo Junction 2. It only took what? Five? Six? years!

Hobo Junction 2 is located north of Republic and is not at the park

Yeah Hobo Junction is long gone. You are looking at a few relics saved from the dumpster. It was really cool that someone saved it though - at least a few bits of 90's SDC nostalgia still exist somewhere in the world.

Yeah, I guess I jumped to conclusions when I saw the photo. It looks like it would fit right in the park but you're absolutely right. We'll be seeing pretty much all the hobo/hillbilly decorations be leaving the park due to many viewing this as poking fun at various forms of poverty.
