Southern Gospel Picnic... Are you attending?

I plan to take head to SDC this weekend to the SGP.  I think it is a great festival but it is way too short.  I am taking my friend Shane and his wife with me.  His wife has never been to SDC I think she will like it.  Is anyone else planning to go this weekend?

We're swinging by for a little day trip.  We're mainly going to get a festival credit for the Christmas ornament since we fell behind this spring.  Does that officially make us dorks?

For anyone who's going and is planning to bring a camera along, consider snapping a photo or two for us to use as banner images when this fest rolls around each year. I'm not going to drive the 4-5 hours to get one myself, and I'm still unsure whether I can use the official SDC media photos yet, so it would be really helpful. Don't feel obligated or anything though, just if you already were going to take photos anyway...

I am taking my camera.  I will try to take some pics.  My biggest problem is that I forget to take pictures because I am too busy having fun.

LOL.  I usually take pictures of us having fun, but that's because photography is another one of my hobbies.

Does anyone have any attendance #s for the SGP from last year.  I am wondering just how busy the park will be this weekend.

SLOW.

Home games at Norman, Stillwater, Columbia, Lawrence, Manhattan and Little Rock.
That will keep a lot of the "regulars" away as they will be at their respective stadiums on Saturday.

I had a great time this weekend at the SGP.  Even with the rain.  Got to ride everything in the park at least once.  It does not seem like that are currently doing much for the new ride.  Nothing had really changed in the last 2 weeks.  Christmas lights are going up everywhere.  I can not wait till Christmas time in the park.

^Wow!  Christmas lights are going up already.  They really start early.  The National Harvest Festival doesn't even begin until Thursday.  Glad you had a really good time at the SGP.

I went Friday and Saturday (29th & 30th)... the park was pretty busy.

On Saturday night, Echo Hollow was packed. Someone said there were more than 4,000 in attendance! It was great... But then again, I'm a big Southern Gospel nut!
