A Very Barry Branson TV show 2/5
« on: February 05, 2015, 12:04:01 PM »
A Very Barry Branson (Barry Williams aka Greg Brady) TV show debuts tonight at 8 pm on GAC. Hopefully, this is a more positive spin on Branson than Branson Famous (the Baldknobbers). Barry was on the Today show yesterday and spoke very favorably about Branson and living in Branson.

Do not get Gac on my satellite package so I guess I will not see it unless they stream it tomorrow. Won't make a big effort though.  Actually I am enjoying Branson Famous and I thought I would not. I cannot see where it shows Branson in a bad way.

Yes, GAC has been heavily promoting this show this week.. Barry has been on
Hallmark
Lifetime
NBC
XMSirius radio today.
Barry and a couple of The HAygoods are in New York now for big "Premiere" tonight..

Should be a great show, GAC spent most of the summer in town recording spots for it.. I expect to see a lot of positive
"advertising" for Branson with this show..

Will find out in about 4 hours

I don't think Branson Famous reflects Branson in a bad way either. Just the Mabe family.

Hopefully Amazon will pick up the Very Barry show also.

Well?

Your thoughts?

I thought that GAC did a great job with the show..

Williams and the Haygoods all did a great job, showing work and play.!

For sure a positive show for Branson

So far I think Barry's show is more positive than BF. It was nice seeing the shots of the strip, Table Rock, etc. The show will also provide a lot of exposure for the Haygoods.

By the way, Barry's assistant Jeremy Rabe is known as the FYI guy and has HGTV type segments on various TV stations including KY3 in Springfield.

I thought he already lived in the Springfield area but the show said he moved to Branson to be Barry's assistant.

Thanks for the link.  I just finished the first episode, and it was really fun.  It's a lot of positive talk about Branson and the Ozarks.  I inferred the credit at the end before it ever flashed onto the screen:  Consulting Producers:  The Haygood Family.

The second episode on the video was certainly not as good as the first.  It was obviously staged (as was the first episode), and makes me suspect that this show may be more about the Haygoods than Williams.  The quality of this show is better than the Haygoods' show was, but I'd suggest more of a musical performance (mic'd for TV) in each episode.

It is for sure a very staged show and the Haygoods sure get more face time than poor old Barry. They are going to come off as saints when they rescue him from financial ruin. I will not waste anymore time on it. I love the way they portray the Branson Demographic as Old fat Chicken Buffet eating people. It is a toss up as to which one is worse this one o Branson Famous.

I would say the Haygoods pitched this show to the network.
