Sign near Jesse James Motel? 1960's
« on: August 23, 2014, 04:12:08 PM »
We are new to this forum and a friend linked us to this. We love the history of this area.

Looking at an old pic - On the same side of the street there is a sign that possibly has a bird on it. And across the street from that is a sign that seems to start with an R and ends with an S. Just curious, anyone know what those were?

Can you post the photo? If we can see it we could answer better.

Thanks for the reply. It's not one of my pics, it's in a book you can buy locally.

I know Agape from another forum. I think the picture is on page 27 of Jerry Madsen's book "Branson - A Time Line History".

Yes, the Masden book shows the Jessie James Motel sign, a color picture of the sign is in the book BRANSON COUNTRY THEMES AND NEON DREAMS by Leland and Crystal Peyton, page73.
