Which Ride Was First?
« on: May 22, 2014, 12:26:57 PM »
I know this has probably been discussed on here before, but I couldn't find it.  But of the three--Flooded Mine, Fire in the Hole, and Jim Owens Float trip, which one was put in first?
Thanks.

The Flooded Mine was first, opening in 1968, followed by Jim Owens in 1969, and FITH in 1972.

We have a great little timeline of SDC developments here: http://sdcfans.com/page/5

That reminds me, I need to update it for the last several years.

Of course, those are true for theme park rides.  Others - the cable train out of the cave, the Frisco train, the stage coach, etc. were offered before then.
