What options are available and the prices? Mill or the Mine? Will be there on 27th and 28th, crowds unbearable?

Thanks.

We have gone to Branson for Thanksgiving many many times. Yes, it is more crowded, but not unbearable. The crowds and the colder weather actually make it feel more festive (or maybe that is what i am telling myself!)
We typically eat Thanksgiving dinner at Reunion Hall (on the far right after the Mill). Most people forget about it or assume its part of the Mill. Reunion Hall (from past experience) has the typical 'Thanksgiving' feast.
We will be in Branson on Thanksgiving this year (but not at SDC until that Fri/Sat/Sun). We are gonna try to hit up either Grand Country Buffet or McFarland's for Thanksgiving this year, just want to try something different. Hopefully one of those places are open? Does anyone know for sure, cause I am just assuming here.
Hope that helps Harp, and have a great Thanksgiving at the City, you won't regret it! :)
You have a great past just ahead of you.

Grand Country Buffet is open Thanksgiving Day.  I've heard nothing but positive comments about it.  I've also heard the line is very, very long but worth it.  SDC has the typical Thanksgiving feast (which is wonderful), and they also have a prime rib buffet.  Both of them have similar traditional side items.  The prime rib is just okay and a bit more expensive.

A tad off subject, but in case anyone needs to know, I called SDC to ask if I could bring in my own dinner while the hubs purchased the buffet (I have celiac -no gluten for me), and can no longer eat from a buffet.  They said, "Of course, you can.  We want you to enjoy your time here with your husband."  Just another reason why SDC is so great!!

I am sure Grand country has a massive spread for thanksgiving.....  would also expect Mcfarlands also to be open..

OK. Thanks one and all.  We have actually been to Branson over Thanksgiving, but always prepare the meal at the condo.  Wanted to try something different this year.

We have done Thanksgiving dinner at Grand Country Buffet also, and it was terrific. The lines were long, but not terrible however we were there at actual "dinner" time (supper if you're from the country) around 530 or so. I don't know if it would be better or worse around noon.
