Hey all,

Went to order five passes today and saw where the wife will take her ID I suppose to the ticket counter to receive her free pass for being born in '76.

I'm guessing since she has to wait until our first trip you are ineligable for the pass perks?  Not complaining about a free pass, just curious.

Thanks to anyone who is in the know.

You don't get any of the perks with the free pass. I got a free pass with the born in 1960 they did a few years ago,but did not get any of the extras. My husband got the extras with the pass he bought, and we went with that. It was great to get the free pass that year. We just bought passes for 2014,so hope to make it a few times this year.

My parents were married in 76.  They picked up their free 14 season passes while at SDC at T'giving.  Just had to show a copy of their marriage license.  As has been stated, you just get the pass...no extras.

I don't get the whole 76 thing either. What in the world does it have to do with anything. I think marketing is just out of ideas and grasping for something. Maybe I'll get it later but for right now it doesn't make me want to visit.

I have to agree about the 76 theme. It was great and made sense in 1976, but I don't see the connection to 2014 at all.

In 1776, we gained our independence.  That's worthy of celebrating more than just on a centennial anniversary.

Geek please!
A nerd is a four letter word with a six figure income...something I definitely do not have...but I traded the income for the ability to be smart AND be SOCIAL!

It is just basic Latin words/ numerals that I teach my 6-8 grade gifted kids at school!

And also just the knowledge from teaching SS and WW2 that allowed me to remember U-238 as being Uranium.

yes. Its amazing how many times in daily life, you use those things of knowledge. "U-238"

That is a term we at work use (IDK)  --- "never"   ;D ;D ;D    Actually Rube, it was interesting. It might be the very thing the PTB was thinking about.

I do believe they are running out of ways to sell passes.  MAYBE---they should read some of these other posts about how other parks are selling passes with more payment options.
