Well we have no chance of any ornament now.  :(   Thats OK though.  With the rain and nasty cold I can accept no ornament.  Of course the weather has no influence on us and BRANSON. We will go to Branson each and every chance we get.  It is a shame that I am off for at least 4 days now, and cant make it to Branson.  I am taking the car in Monday for its 3 month "free" oil change and a new tire to replace the blowout.   We did get the Jeep back from the shop, but it did not pass emissions.  I have till end of June to get it to pass. (or should I say) to find out what is wrong. The computer is glitching out.

Oh well. We want to head that way over Mem Weekend, but if work stays flat. We will be staying home. We had another 2 trips planned for June 8 and June 16. Well hopefully work will be good by then.  Usually the slow times last 4-10 weeks.  If they last 10 weeks or so. Then we might not be at Branson anymore in 2013.  (Im sorry to sound that way, but 10 weeks with little or no pay will put me behind till tax time 2014, and will likely be forced to let car go back). Which would be sweet, to have only one car then, and that one be unlicensed because it cant pass emissions.  Gotta love these silly activists groups that push petty laws

If you don't meet the requirement for a "free" ornament, you can still buy it, along with previous years available, for $10~

I'm not sure if I'll make it on Sunday. The weather for Sunday is still looking kinda ucky in the forecast, and with my allergy, cold rain is my enemy.

SDC could have up to 2 inches of snow tomorrow morning Not only has it snowed in May now, but we are getting two nights of it.

Yes it is definitely strange indeed. Thank God for "global warming" HUH?
On a positive note. I cant go this weekend afterall, so I dont feel as bad now that Im stuck at home.  :o   OH Im sorry

No really we have recieved snow in May before but its been a while. We had 2 May snows in STL when I still worked "in downtown" at the bank.  I have been working at my present job since 1997. So it was before 1997 when we had May snows.

Well... global warming is what causes the changes in weather patterns. The overall temperature of earth goes up, that creates disturbances, and eventually leads to an ice age.

But yeah, I'm definitely not gonna be there tomorrow. There's no way I can do the park in this weather, and I have some additional health issues that have come up that would make it even more unbearable.

I sure do wish I was in Branson. Even in cold rainy ick.  It has been cold ick here.

On a good note. The ECM in the Jeep is (yes I said it is) indeed working correctly. ;D
Now its just a matter of a code clear, a few start cycles, a drive or 2. IT SHOULD!!!! Pass right thru emissions then.   WHEW!!!  A big favor from our wonderful Lord.  Now I need 1 more big favor and we will be in the clear (with the Jeep).

1 ginormous favor in bringing work back in to my place, and the World will be in harmony.

Qwed, I really hope it all works out for you!  I think most of us have been down that road a few times.  It always seems like when something goes wrong, something else goes wrong, and then, something else...

We used block ice to keep the fish we caught good on our day long expeditions on the Mississippi. We used block ice cause it lasted longer than the cubed ice that's typical at the store.

The Earth is no different, Whatever caused the last Ice Age put the Earth in a deep freeze, ask the Mammoths they are finding in Siberia that was froze solid very quickly due the stuff they find in their digestive tract suggests. As this event changed the climate, it's been a state of melt and gradual warming ever since. The block of ice has been getting smaller and as it gets smaller it melts faster. It's a process that's been going on for some time. C
heck out this over the recent discovery of Heracleion.

It is further proof the sea levels have been rising since way before our carbon emissions stuff.  why should we fear it? It's something that's going to happen with or without us. I'd like to think we will be able to adapt. Think of the species of plants that's seeds have been in a deep freeze for ions that may hold great promise like plants from other areas like the rain forest. I wonder what was the excuse for the snow on April 30 in 1903 was.

Well I think I mentioned "global warming" first on this post. Basically as a joke. But I do remember an explanation by one of our local TV weathergirls that (in a nutshell) global warming does indeed change weather patterns. Basically it is making most of the globe warmer, however, it does create frontal systems that are much stronger, and last much longer. I dont remember any of the details really, but she did say when it is over there is likely to be another ice age. (As a few have mentioned here).

Just remember this though. Several books in the Bible (mainly Revelations, Daniel, and the gospels), promises us that Jesus will return and snatch his children away, then those behind will live thru (or die thru) a nasty wrath. Then World War III (Armeggedan). Then he will rebuild the Earth (by rebuild I mean refurbish the existing-not total anihelation and start over) so this global warming isnt going to desroy the planet. But it certainly might destroy our "fun" plans HUH?

And Thank You Gilligan and How-Do, for the words of encouragement. I definitely know that Gods will is better than my plans. At least in the end it will be. Things will work out very soon Im sure. Im not that bad yet anyway. I have done this before and I know how to conserve and save. It means lots of home time, and home cooking. All the handyman jobs I can find. No wasted trips anywhere. Maybe not renewing the phone card, ETC. I am positive. Things are exactly as the Master has planned.

Had my heater core go out in Jan. Talk about pain. I pine for the days of raising a Hood and a 350 looked at me with plenty of room around it ;D
