Outdoor photos were great, we have about 10 of them. With today's digital cameras it would not be a problem, but years ago, they had film issues, humidity, weather etc. To deal with. Moving exclusively indoors allowed then to control the variables. My favorites are outdoor photos of ours, they look more natural and tin type-esque.

Have several extremely old tintypes from SDC in my parents house. Got one of the new ones done last year with my wife.

My mom and pop (pre kiddos) had a cave pic taken in 1974 or 76 or so...I am gonna have to find that.

Hey guys, I know this is a bit of an older thread, but I want to run a "Flashback Friday" for our Silver Dollar City TinType Photos Facebook page, and was curious if anyone had any old TinTypes from years past at Silver Dollar City that we could use? Thanks in advance!

Check my Flickr site for tintypes of the Rube Dugan's Diving Bell Crew from 1979-1983:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/juniordugan

How did you upload that photo on here?  I've tried many times without success.  Good photo, Tiff!

Upload the photo to a photo site like photobucket, and then click the "Insert Image" button on the Post Reply screen, assuring to paste the link to the photo. (Photo bucket has a list of links on the right hand side once the photo is uploaded, simply copy the "direct link-a WWW address) and paste it in the afore mentioned place -between the middle brackets on the insert image promt:

I have to pull mine out of the closet and follow Rube's instructions.  I'll have mine up by tomorrow.
