Old Chicago gone
« on: March 15, 2012, 07:11:19 PM »
Looks like Old Chicago at the Landing may be gone.  Was reported on the 1branson board today that the restaurant had been sued for back rent and possession.  Macaroni Grill closed back in January.

I have never had a chance to eat at Old Chicago. Maybe my lack of patronage is a reason they are closing? :P Either way, I hate to see any business go under.

Old Chicago - North Little Rock
Famous Daves - Little Rock
Shorty Smalls - Little Rock (North Little Rock location closed recently)
Macaroni Grill - Little Rock

Since we have all 4 of those restaurants here where we live, we typically eat at Joe's Crab Shack when we are at the Landing. I do like all those places, but we can get those at home, so we try to go for something different.
You have a great past just ahead of you.

We were members of their Beers of the World club- we had a card that would be scanned whenever we ate/ drank, and it would log our drinks and earn us points for each different beer. They had some good stuff there (I am not an AB man, even though I live/ born and raised in StL, I support the little man, the smaller brews)

When Lance started with them right on opening it was going great and then like 5-6 months later.....new managers that let's say were not that great (food went down hill, service etc). That's why he went to White River (Bass Pro) and is very happy there. It's sad because it was a great idea and I enjoyed going there!

That does sound nice sand! Especially on a beautiful, warm day with lots of boaters, and activity along the water. It looks like I will have to go to Garfield’s, or somewhere similar to get that experience now.

Still haven't confirmed if OC has closed yet but it was in the public record for being sued.

If not, Sanddune, maybe you should give Garfield's a try.  I haven't ever been there, but I've thought about it the bazillion times I've walked by.  Does anyone know what's on their menu?  I thought it was a hamburger sort of place.

I have one at the mall in Joplin. Its burgers and fries kinda place. If Applebees and TGI Fridays had a baby you would get Garfields....

They used to have Garfields in the Mall in OKC too. Used to have crayons and draw on the tables. But when I go to Branson I want to eat places that I can't eat around here, the one exception being Cracker Barrel
