Gas prices

I know we have not seen the worst of the gas prices yet, but will it change anything in your family fun or daily plans?

*clicks red slippers* gas prices will not go up. gas prices will not go up.

Gas prices going up will stink on ice. It would cut out several of the trips I have planned for SDC. Lets just hope it doesnt go up as projected and it is scare tactics!

Luckily we have our own condo, but we will have to take fewer longer trips vs. frequent shorter trips.  We've decided our boat will stay closer to the marina and it will be anchored in a cove rather than moving up and down the lake.  Higher gas prices will definitely bite, so we are cutting back at home now to try to make it easier this summer and fall.

Sure is going to put a bite in things,  We will probably drive 1 of the cars we have instead of driving my suburban, roundtrip the car uses just 1/2 as much fuel as the suburban.. :)

The real scary part to me is that I run 3-4 Dump Trucks, 2 of which are semi trucks.... MAN dreading that 4-5 MPG this year!!,   :o :o :o

My weekly fuel expense for the trucks will make my monthly vacation expense look CHEAP!!. ;)

I managed to get filled up in KC for 3.42 this morning after hearing some locals were at 3.67.  But yeah, this really stinks.  I hope someone comes up with a solution soon before we start motorvatin' to Branson!

Gas here in Little Rock is about $3.55 a gallon, and climbing. It takes about one full tank of gas to drive to Branson, and then to drive back. That does not include driving / touring around the Branson area while there. That is around $50 a tank just to drive up there, and back. Ouch!  :-X

Gas prices seem to work on a one way ratchet system. They go up, but they don't come down.

Currently, I live in Southern Illinois and our gas this morning was $3.75.  I do not see it stopping yet.  The price last week was $3.49.

I tried the Costco $3.50 yesterday, we will see if the gas mileage is as good as regular gasoline. I have found in the past it yields less, how much...we will soon see! I am guessing it will perform about 90% of the regular store brands.
