Old SDC Brochures from '79-'81-'86-'87

OK, saddle up yer mule and take another trip back in time to the SDC of long, long ago! I've posted on the Flickr site the SDC brochures from 1979, 1981, 1986 and 1987. If you look REAL Close at the interior photo from the '81 brochure of the parade coming down Cardiac Hill, you will see sweet lil' ole ME in full JUNIOR costume holding a campaign sign for Eaton Doolittle. (I'm next to the tuba player) Click on the photos to enlarge them to see them better and read the captions. Take a close look at the admission price and how it changed over the years, too! ok so the 87' brochure mention a peanut butter palace that one does not even kinda ring a bell. Where was that at?

I know this sounds silly but after looking at those great pictures what I would not give to be able to go back in time to the early days of the park.

I remember the Peanut Butter Palace, but that's about it. Someone else will have to tell where it was located on park.

The Peanut Butter Palace was located where Aunt Polly’s Restaurant is located now; that building was also a candy shop as well.

Thanks, Junior!  Brought back a lot of memories.  I didn't know that Fred Stoneking used to be part of the Horsecreek Band. I've seen him at many fiddle contests.
