yea, the ar15 barks alot,
44 mag? thats not even funny! Maybe my 22 mag auto, although it barks, BUT no kick! nice little weapon.
I have a new ar10, that i am waiting for a calm nice day to sight in.  20 inch barrel, it really barks!!  I think I am going to set it dead on at 1/4 mile...
oh well back to work tomorrow..

Actually the AR probably had the least recoil of anything else there. But yeah, it's loud. As for the 44, even I won't one hand it. No Dirty Harry for me.

If you're close enough a BB gun can do some damage if hit in the right spot. One of the plastic pellet guns(not airsoft) is what I usually in situations like that. It won't hurt them but will get their attention.

The Red Ryder BB guns are still available! Come on down to Rogers, AR to the downtown area and tour the Daisy Airgun Museum. Daisy products were and still are produced here. The museum is housed in the historic Hobbs Building, right on the corner of Walnut and 2nd Street. Yes, the Red Ryder BB gun is sold inside. Do not expect to pay those prices you paid way back then as a kid to obtain one. The Red Ryder is a bit pricy. Well worth the investment if you collect airguns.

Larson your right!, be careful "scaring" animals with these new guns, Most of them them have a lot of "power" and the BB will go into the skin,
I agree with Larson, buy a soft pellet gun,, Also Aim for hind quarters, NOT neck/face area.
Or if you have a big problem, use a paintball gun and just shoot close by,  the noise and paint spray will scare them too.( This is a little pricey, but effective)

Here Kitty Kitty!!..  LOL...

They sell Red Ryder BB guns at the Walmart in Sullivan, MO every year around Christmas. They sell them over by the hunting/camping supplies and everytime we go over that way, either my sister or I will go on the little 'Red Ryder BB gun' spiel. It drives my mom crazy!

My mother-in-law got a 410 shotgun for her first wedding anniversary.  The next year and all years following until she passed away, she received a piece of jewelry as a gift.  Needless to say, that change in gifts saved the marriage!   ;D
