It may be useful to look into using Priceline or Hotwire.  Of course, you may want to firm up plans ahead of time, as both of those places you would only get the best deals closer to the time of the reservation, but I would imagine there will be plenty of hotels that will be wanting visitors in October.

For 40.00 including all the extras, you will be hardpressed to beat Paiges deal for us.

You are probably right.  But I did get the Radisson last weekend for $48 through Priceline.
