Tram Ride
« on: April 03, 2011, 03:47:32 PM »
Ok so i have a couple of things with the trams that bother me and was wondering if anyone else has noticed. The first and most anoying is the fact that they always seem to be bunched together and causing long waits at the parking lot pickups. Second is and i dont know if its because i have bad hearing but while the tram is heading up to the park the guy in the back is trying to talk to everyone about the park and rides but do to the noise of the tram i can never hear anything but mumbles. This isnt anything that really makes me mad but it seems so stupid to me to even try to talk on the tram if no one can hear u?

I think it may just depend on when you're at the park and how busy it is. Sometimes it may be inevitable that they will get a little behind schedule. I've been there on days where I've had to wait for a tram for about 5-10 minutes, but most of the time a tram is there and loading when we walk up after parking our car.

It is what it is I guess.

We were there Sunday of opening weekend.  I liked the trams over the buses.  I feel it takes too long to load and unload the buses, just my opinion.  I also noticed that the trams seem to be under powered on some of the inclines. May be they could run shorter trams but more of them?  Why don't they theme the tram stops a little more? More landscaping, some signage, something to up the suspense??

As far as the trams being underpowered I'm not sure of the horse power but i do know that there are equipped with 4 Cylinder diesel engines. I don't know if any of you have ever noticed but i love how the back two cars steer themselves instead of them off tracking due to stationary wheels. Its fun to watch it go around the little s curve  just past stop 1 and see all three cars going in different directions.

You can't hear 'em, but you can't say they didn't tell you the rules either.  Just because you didn't hear it doesn't mean they didn't take care of their legal obligations.

I guess.

Actually, it's all subliminal messaging - something about frozen lemonade and funnel cakes.
