The population of Branson showed the most significant growth, swelling to 10,520 in 2010, which represents a growth rate of an astounding 73.9 percent from its total in 2000 — 6,050.

...while the urban areas declined, SWMO seems to be experiencing population growth.

To me that looks like the Branson Area Economy is not doing that bad compaired to other parts of the Country.  That is good for all of us.

I agree Okla..  People are screaming depression/Bad economy/ and so on. But does look like the branson area is holding strong.

Yes some business ventures have failed, But seems like the old faithful business are holding tuff.

One thing i do notice in theBranson area are more show/attractions offering "season passes".  Being a repeat visitor i like that idea.
