I learned that 4 hours in a car really isn't that far!

Sometimes that 4 hours takes foreverrrrrrrrrrrr!  AND I always hate the drive home.

rubedugans

I concour! The 4 hours cannot come quick enough going there for me, but on the way home it evens out because it always ends up feeling like 6 or 8 instead!

History Buff

If you're staying over in Marmaros, keep at eye on your pants.

If the canary's dead, row faster.

Don't ride the frogs.

All the silver is imported.

Don't sit near the bar if you're an older, balding man.

There's a great past ahead of you.

Grandfather is one weird dude.

Hobos shower constantly.

If you want to see a snake in the grass, mow the grass.

All dining tables are not created equal.

How-doFolks

speaking of drive times.. i have learned that i can deal with driving the first 2 hours than the last 2 hours.
i've also learned at SDC that people are much nicer when in the park than out in public.

How-do, you said in the above post that you found out folks were friendlier on the park then out there in real life. I found that to be true, too. I first really noticed this in 1996 while my wife and daughter and I made a trip to Orlando, and were making the rounds at Magic Kingdom, the other Disney parks, and Universal Studios. The area is an INTERNATIONAL destination, and many times we were in line with people who spoke different languages and wore clothing traditional in their countries. People from India got along with Saudi Arabians, Europeans got along with Americans, Well, everybody just got along. There were no disputes, no sly comments, everyone got along. It just appeared that no matter where they came from or who they were, we all were sharing the Disney/Universal/Orlando vacation experience, and the troubles and strife that we had in everyday life were gone, and everyone was having a good time. I've noticed that at SDC and in Branson, too. Most people just chill out and enjoy the vacation experience, which is nice. If we can be better people at SDC...we can everywhere we go, don't you agree?

It seems to take longer to sit thru my 90 min math class than it does to sit in a car for 3 hours! (only if I'm going to SDC)

I love relating things to SDC and the transit. After a Dr. waiting room or a line at the DMV, I think, hmm, I'd be in Rolla by now!

I do the same thing! Well, sort of. After three hours into my shift at work, I think about how I could have made it to Branson by now.  ;D

I've also learned to watch my head while getting off the tram, and to enjoy my day at Silver Dollar City!
