Here's hoping everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving. A day to let go of the frustrations of everyday life and count the blessings that the Lord provides on a daily basis. Thank you, Lord, for your constant love and provision!

I need a "like" button!  Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

I just pulled this from my friend Brad Harrub's posting on Facebook:
Quote[T]he unpolitically correct version of American history records that the religious Pilgrims built 5X as many gravestones as they did homes their first year. And yet they still stopped to give thanks to the Lord! While our government recognizes this as Thanksgiving Day, true men and women of God are thankful all year long! May God bless you & your family this Thanksgiving Day, & may we never stop being thankful to Him!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow SDC fans - may you be blessed with love and friendships.  May you have travel mercies as you travel the roads.

It was on Thanksgiving Day, 1978...32 years ago today, that "Burl Ives' America," a half hour TV special featuring SDC...debuted on KYTV-TV Channel 3, Springfield, MO. It was a syndicated program that aired in many TV markets throughout the midwest. The show featured SDC craftsmen, scenes from around SDC, and had as a comic subplot Rube Dugan's Diving Bell.

Go to the park history section of the forums here at SDC Fans, click on page 2 of the "Diving Bell Photos" thread, and enjoy this half hour long step back in history to spring of 1978 at SDC! :)
