According to an AP story, Dollywood won two "Golden Ticket" awards--for Best Christmas Event, and Best Shows.  Anybody here with insight into the theme park biz? What does Dollywood have that SDC doesn't? Holiday World won for cleanest park and friendliest staff.

According to an AP story, Dollywood won two "Golden Ticket" awards--for Best Christmas Event, and Best Shows.  Anybody here with insight into the theme park biz? What does Dollywood have that SDC doesn't? Holiday World won for cleanest park and friendliest staff.

They have a larger population of voters to draw from.
I'm planning on finding out this weekend what makes DW's event so much more special than SDC's

While I congratulate Holiday World on the job well done, I still have to be partial, and go with Silver Dollar City on that one.

A bigger market of people to draw from.  It sure as heck isn't the event itself
