Just being curious. Wanted to know if anyone has enjoyed the Gospel event in the last week or so at SDC and how it is going? My wife and I wanted to get up for it but I don't think we will be able to. We enjoyed our brief trip in mid-August and hope to make it back to SDC for the Harvest Fest thing and for Christmas.  Love to hear from any one who's been to the Gospel event...

I went last Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning.  We had a great time with all the great music on the park.  Of course, there was the obligatory rides on FITH, Wildfire, PK, and FM.  Took in the Saloon show also.  Terrific time!

We went Friday.  The Downing Family at the Boatworks was good.  We went to one show at the Riverside Playhouse and got up and left after one song -- bad karaoke.  I wasn't as impressed with the lineup this year as in previous years.  The Opry House is not being used this year. Many booths for the fall festival were already set up and open.

Yeah, Gold City wasn't coming this year-bummer.  Also not coming are the Mckameys (?), but they are a little too twangy for me.  It is fun to hear some of the regional groups that we in the midwest will rarely see.  I thought Mike LeFevre's quartet was very good.

There's already a survey out about SDC Gospel Picnic 2010.  We went to the park on Friday 8/27 and received the survey on 9/2.  In addition to asking about the festival, there were also questions asking if you attended any of the regular shows and what you thought about them.  The last question asked for general comments about SDC.  I vented a bit about a few things including the tram situation.  The Friday we were there we had to wait over 20 minutes in the hot sun for a tram; one tram was covering all stops.
