AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! The local Wal-Mart was so packed for Black Friday, we had to park on the lot at a fast food place across the street. Got the big screen TV I was looking for, some cheap DVDs, clothes for the grandkids for Christmas, and a portable DVD player for the kids car, plus a few wii games the grandkids had on their wish lists. I told my wife that I won't do Black Friday again. Every isle at the big box store was packed, people were getting rude, pushing each other, I almost got knocked over by people behind me! Too much hype, too many abrasive people...I think I need a day at SDC to put me back right into my "zone!"

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are very blessed as a family, and thank God for those of us still here and in good health.
We did not go out to do the Black Friday shopping (only done that once in my life, never again). I personally find it distastefull that some stores open on Thanksgiving now. Everyone diserves a Holiday. My wife works in retail, and was at work most of Friday. I was at home with our 2 nieces (7 & 15). We put up all the outside Christmas decorations, it was a lot of fun, and yes....I get my inspiration from Silver Dollar City.
Hope everyone else on here was as blessed as we were to have a Happy Thanksgiving. I guess we can 'offically' say Merry Christmas now!

I personally am not a Black Friday fan, but I have friends who attended, and enjoyed it. I heard on the news about some lady pepper spraying everyone around her so that she could get to an item first. Really? I mean really? What was going through her mind? Did she think she could just pepper spray several people, grab the item, stand in the checkout line, pay for the item, and then walk out of the store like it was no big deal?
