I never cared for the sparks myself either. Since when does an axe hitting (chopping) wood give off sparks?

Seriously, I didn't really mind the sparks but it did seem to give the logo a Disney kind of feel to it the probably doesn't belong. I don't think I'll miss them either.

I guess if they changed the axe to hammer it would work if they wanted the sparks. That would look like the anvil of the blacksmith then.

I see the new logo is used on the January SDC Times, but the old logo with the sparks is still used on the 2012 Calendar/Benfits brochure that came with our Season Passes. Interesting.

For me the overall design of the logo does not bother me. Ya there are some of the aspects I dont like but as a whole it does not affect my visit. I am going to love visiting no matter what!
