I heard about this earlier today.  How awful!  I've been in that building before - nice condos!

It's still burning -- news reports seem to indicate the whole Majestic complex is gone.  Fire departments in the area are getting a workout. There was also a fire at Papouli's restaurant in Reeds Spring and at least one power pole on fire north of Branson (and major power outage).

Here's more info, including pictures and video, from KY3:

Wow! Best wishes to the residents of the condo.
"Howdy there folks! My name is Junior Dugan, and I'll be drivin' your diving bell!"

That is just so horrible!  I hope everyone made it out safely.  The hubs and I think about this situation every once in a while.  Our condo is in a building with nightly rentals, and we've seen renters burning candles on the decks before even though it's not allowed.  It was a wake up call for us, so we checked our insurance just to make sure we were adequately covered.

Terrible. We watched it online and followed it through Facebook. So glad there were no major injuries. God bless the folks who lost everything. Our prayers are certainly with them.   :'(
The memories made at Silver Dollar City last a lifetime.
Pass them on to the ones you love!

I was getting my haircut yesteraday and when parked in the lot could see shrouds of smoke; plus about 7 fire trucks went up SOTH very quickly I guess when it started and knew something was going on. Then could smell the burning. Unfortunately my transportation was out for the day today (needing supplies for Econo to finalize the wall in the lobby) so was not able to go check out before coming on shift. Keep trying to catch on the news whole story so maybe in a few??? All I heard was Majestic I at first thought the building down off Gretna/Roark but then why would the fire trucks be heading the other way?? SO with my "quick" thinking realized it had to be the condos. ::)

Always heartbreaking to see these stories. Prayers go out to all the families who's home was lost.
You have a great past just ahead of you.

Let's blame the fire on the Baldknobbers! I hope the residents will be able to pick up the pieces, and rebuild quickly. It is no doubt a tough situation.

I was actually in Branson when that happened. We actually watched it burn. It was crazy intense!  :'(
