Did he say 300 seats for dining in the area?  That seems to be a lot for pretzel dogs.

I thought he said 140 seats.

Also lost 2 other actors yestarday.....

Dave Madden, & Ruth Duccini.

Ruth- was the last remaing "munchkin" for wizard of oz...

Ruth was the last original 'female' munchkin. Jerry Maren, part of the lollipop guild, is still alive at 93. That makes him the lone surviving munchkin now.

Southwest Airlines dropping Branson operations

December 5

BRANSON, Mo. — Southwest Airlines has announced plans to drop service to Branson and two other cities.

The Dallas-based company said Thursday that it will cease operations on June 7 at Branson Airport, Key West International Airport and Jackson-Evers International Airport.

Southwest executive vice president and chief commercial officer Bob Jordan said in a news release that there isn't enough demand to profitably serve the markets.

The airline began service to Jackson-Evers International in 1997. The airline added the Branson and Key West airports in 2012 as part of its integration with subsidiary AirTran.

Southwest said there would be no disruption to reservations over the next six months. Employees at the three locations would be given the opportunity to transfer to other jobs within the airline after operations cease.

Woke up to find Branson being mentioned in the travel section of the Sun-Sentinel Newspaper down here in South Florida (West Palm Beach/Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area). Here is the write up online.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Frisco Train 2013

Anyone been to the city this year who can chime in as to what changes have been made with regards to the train this year? Specifically, the robbery scene? Curious to know if anything has been added to or shortened due to OR being there now.

Branson Talk / Philip Wellford passed away
December 16, 2012, 05:42:03 PM
Got word from Terry Wayne Sanders on Facebook that Philip Wellford passed away on Dec. 14 after a hard fought battle with dementia. Very sad news. I remember seeing him when he was 1/2 of the VanBurch and Wellford show. A great entertainer who left this world far too soon. He was only 58.
Below is a link of one of his performances when he was on the comedy circuit.

Though not sold at any of the shops, I would give anything to have the mural and Baldknobber pictures from Fire in the Hole. Actually, throw in the rest of the pictures as well as the ride itself and let me have it in my own backyard!!!

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: New mailing is out

We got ours a couple of days ago. What confuses me (though I don't have it with me as I am at...ahem, work), is that on the back page it talks of the last day to get your BAF vouchers is I believe March 9. Then if you read the smaller print, it says you exchange your voucher AND $10 to get your friend in. The valid dates are different as well from what we recieved in the mail when we bought our season tickets in December. Our vouchers don't say anything about that.

On a different note but also on the back page it says to use your iPhone (or whatever Apple product you have) to download the SDC app. for information about the city etc.. Where is the Android app?? Android OS is used by more people than apple. I don't understand why companies tend to put out an Apple app before Android (if at all). Yes, I have an Android phone, so show us some love SDC!!

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that they have to stop along the way so that the train can build up enough steam to make it back to the depot. Hence, why they decided to have a train robbery. IF they tore down the old shack, wouldn't they still have to stop somewhere along the way?

Well, I don't have a top ten, but I do enjoy opening the freezer to see that we put a loaf of  Eva And Delilahs raisin cinnamon bread in there. Then, I open the fridge to see my pancake mix AND funnel cake mix from the mill in there.... We are pacing ourselves. Oh the anticipation of trying to not consume it all prior to the 2012 season!!!!
