We own a condo now, but we used to stay at the Carriage House on Green mountain dr, it was always pretty nice. Almost always had the pool to ourselves.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: Countdown to 2012 season

Very excited for this season, as a former citizen and team lead who left with some hard feelings over how some longtime citizens were being treated on various personnel issues, i went several times the season after I quit and just did not have fun. But I stayed away last year and I am so ready and happy to just go as a guest again and enjoy the park.
The very reason I went to work at SDC in the first place, I really love that place, can't wait!

When I worked for SDC my friend managed the SDC ticket and info center that was at the Landing, if I remember right the rent was like $4000 a month.

Branson Talk / Re: Do you go to Branson in the winter? What do you do for fun?
January 11, 2012, 10:18:40 AM
We have a condo in Branson, we go to the Landing, tanger outlet, see a movie at the IMAX, or Branson Meadows, grab some dinner at Shogun, Cantina Laredo, or Famous Dave's. We cruise up to Springfield and go to Pfi or Bass pro. Play mini golf at Grand Country, my wife is a C of O alum so we go to a few basketball games.
I like to go to books a million and look at books and magazines if I get bored. And if it's nice I play some golf.

As a kid I was a huge Ryan Sandberg fan, if he gets the job I will become a Cardinals fan for sure, he has proved to be a really good manager, Cubs are dumb for not even considering him

Branson Talk / Re: Branson Food

I agree that Cantina Laredo is great food and by far the best service in Branson. We eat there at least once a month and have never had anything but great service. In a town with a lot of good food but lots of poor service, its the Gold Standard.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: New Life for Green Trams

"The tram was purchased by an anonymous benefactor who gave it to the booster club. A pair of community businesses prepared the tram to make trips from the high school and middle school parking lots to F.S. Garrison Stadium. The booster club has since given the vehicle to the school district for use at all the Goblins' home football games." Harrison Daily Times.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / New Life for Green Trams
October 12, 2010, 03:37:04 PM
I live in North Central Arkansas and have noticed several flat bed trucks in recent months hauling the old green trams down hwy 65. Today i was in Harrison and parked in front of a paint and body shop was one of the trams, now painted purple and with "Harrison Goblins Tram" and a Goblins logo painted on as well.
Harrison Schools use the Goblin as a mascot. I will try to get a photo soon.

General Silver Dollar City Talk / Re: SDC vs Dolly
August 18, 2010, 02:20:04 PM
As a former "Citizen" of SDC and DW, I love both parks. I think the employees at SDC do a better job with the guests, I think the SDC folks are more knowledgeable about their park. SDC is the safest park I have been associated with, hands down, everyone there is really safety first, and the consistant theme at SDC is awesome. DW does a better job in with parking/trams, and I think the lines for rides move a little faster at DW, when I go as just a guest I think i prefer DW, but i wish it had as much shade as SDC, the new section at DW is brutal on a day when it's sunny and 98.
But they are both great parks!
