Does anyone remember a restaurant called little Pete's at the end of the strip?

What's interesting with the Gold Pass for the discount on food is that it says for gold pass holder only, where the normal season pass in the past was 10% but up to 6 guests. So I wonder if that means if you go to eat with 4 people are they only going to discount what you ate on the ticket.
I get that financially this was not the best year but I hate to think it is going to start becoming a operation where they are going to start making one pay for the little extra perks for having the season pass.
Also what will really suck as well is we did not use are passes this year so we are rolling them over but losing it seems the benefits.
Looking at the price of the Gold pass for the fact that you get a mug with it and 50% off a ticket a day for a guest I think helps with the price and if you get the parking pass again a little discount there as but still think that is asking to much

We now have 4 season passes with the kids and we received 2 of them, one in my name and the other with my daughters. This was her first year needing a pass.

Two years ago at the ACE Christmas coaster event I had the chance to talk to Brad Thomas. One of my questions was the refillable mugs, because like most of you I have my collection of older mugs. He was telling me that they never realized the amount of people that we're keeping their mugs from years past. Apparently most normal people will keep their mugs a couple of years then get a new one. We apparently are not the norm, so they came up with the new rule of the newer mugs, he did say they had no plans to not honor the old mugs but depending on I guess the soda revenue it could always be a possibility. I told him he might get a few emails over that. He appreciated the fact of everyone's loyalty toward the park.

I have had the meat calzone and also the meatball sandwich, both I thought were very good and not to bad for price especially with the portion you get. We have eaten lunch there a couple of time and very pleased with the quality and price.

All the mugs I have pretty much say price subject to change and get the 1.75 charge, which I think pricey for what fountain soar costs but still better then if you did not have the mug. I also know that the reason they did the mugs that only last a year was because they did not realize the amount of people that have kept their mugs over the years and apparently they were actually seeing a drop in their soda revenue. As for as older mugs then have no plans any time soon to stop honoring the refill prices.

Was at the park Memorial Day weekend and had no issues with using a copy of my drivers and season pass laminated. It was actually very handy all day.

Swoosh there is no bar code on the back of the SDC pass. Unless you know something I do not

Was at the city on Friday weather sucked and I did not get up there till about 4:45 hardly anyone left. Most everything was either closed or closing at 5:30. Apparently they were doing a soft closing because of foot traffic. Though the fun part was that the train was still running and I and 8 other people were on it. It conductor and the hold up was I think better just because of that. Then went to Molly's for dinner, everything else was closed. Again they were great even though I was the last one not sure how many times I was told take your time we are in no hurry. Also I found out at dinner they do not give out the pre packages dinner rolls anymore but now slices of bread that they bake. Very tasty.
Went also on Sunday went to breakfast good as always, then rode fire in the hole, outlaw run maybe a bout a 20 minute wait, I will say I think the very back is better then the front, after that went on wildfire, no line what so ever. Also I found this out I was told at the front gate that one can make a copy of there drivers license put it on the back of your season pass and then do a cold laminate on it. Was wondering if anyone else had heard or tried it. Kinda saves a little effort.

So we were down for a couple days the 24Th-27Th and made it to SDC on the 25Th which was the best pick for weather. A little cool in the morning but sun was out and warmed up nicely. We got to the park around  8:30 not very many people there yet. So our first stop was Molly's for breakfast. All was very good they did changed the sausages from links to patties. What was fun is that my 5 yr old son notice this and asked the waitress she looked at him and said actually those were the links they just decided to smash them down and flatten them this time. He looked at me and then her said OK then. Then when we were finished with breakfast she came by and asked how the sausages were he told her he still like the links better, she told him then next time he comes by she will roll them right back up. You have to love the citizens where else can you get such great interaction. Also which I had not had these before hillbilly rolls. YUMMY.
After breakfast watched the opening ceremonies and then headed down by the train was going to hit outlaw run but decided might be better to let some of the food digest first. So did the train first the show was good as always. I love when who ever they ask is ma says yep I am their ma, I think the skit gets so much funnier.
After that headed to the flooded mine all looked pretty good and seemed to be working very well.
We then headed to outlaw run, it was great no line they had two cars running and we waited no more the maybe 5 minutes. All I can say is wow what a ride. Granted my coaster experience is limited but that has to be the best one I have ever been on and so smooth for a wood coaster.
Then headed over to half dollar hollar, after that headed to crossroads pizzeria I got the calzone and the rest of the family just got a pizza. I thought both were excellent and not bad for price wise either.
We then headed over to GE for a couple of kiddy rides for the kids. Not sure who they were they had 3 musicians over there that were playing in the street, they were great they would follow people around and play the jaws theme music or if someone wanted to by the were get in front of them and start doing emergency music it was Great probably stood there and watched them for twenty minutes.
We then headed over to GG on the way over ran into terry sanders he was drawing directions for the train. I mentioned to him that he had been writing the words up side down from where I was standing and he went into a big production with within and everyone around got a big kick out of it.
GG looked in good shape seems that they added or fixed some sound effects when the geyser blows. I know some do not like it but it is definitely a kid favorite I know my son and daughter could probably send all day there if we let them.
About 4 we decided it was time to go but wanted to hit outlaw run one more time. Got over there no line and thought awesome. Got in the car and the. Had to get back out apparently issues. The car behind us they had to manually remove all the people.
At that point headed out stopped at the mill for waffle mix and Cinnamon bread and headed out. I thought everything looked good at the park and was please with everything.
I did see that they were doing some more construction over by crossroads pizza, they had a concrete pad laid and what looked like plumbing lines of some sort.
Hoping on going back this Friday.

You are correct the parking pass last year was 18.00. I was disappointed with the increase but I have to say I received made my money on it back easily and see no reason I won't this year either. When you have two kids and strollers it is so much easier to walk and the closer the park whe. Incomes to strollers and kids is well worth. I just wish they would make the pass where one could be used for more then car for families.
