LOL, so I'm just now getting to this craziness. Calm the freak down Swoosh, no one cares and you're the one coming off as a snide idiot at this point.

It was a nice video. I appreciate getting a fresh look at FM since I haven't been able to get out there yet this year. I love seeing how much attention it has gotten. True, virtually everything called out as "new" isn't actually new, but it has all been given a lot of TLC so that it can certainly look new to someone who isn't a detail hound.

Sometimes I'll spot something I think is "new" at the city when it's actually been there for 50 years and I just never noticed. Something else gets moved and it just jumps out at you even though you've walked down that path for years.

Anyway, what we should all be celebrating is the return of the buzzsaw! I can't believe how many years they let that thing lie dormant! Thanks to everyone who has made the Flooded Mine look so good this year, it is much appreciated!

Shave, appreciate this comment, but will all do respect, your'e the one that continues to allow Swoosh to keep doing this. You decide when you call him out but when anyone else does you or the moderators police and delete. This is all in good fun but it's not worth continuing to let this happen.

To all of those whining about the spinning, get over it. SDC has given us an amazing attraction. Such a great day.

Tyler, they have just as much of a right to formulate their own opinions as you do, to formulate their own.  Spinning is not for everyone.  My group even had qualms about that feature.

My name certainly isn't Tyler so I'm not sure where that came from. That's cool if your group (your parents) had qualms about the spinning. I'm just pointing out that it is what it is. People complaining about something they haven't even experienced yet is ridiculous. Lastly, this: "much of a right to formulate their own opinions as you do, to formulate their own." makes absolutely no sense.

Great pics swoosh and josh!

It was such a fun event. I loved the videos they featured in the reveal. Classic SDC. MSU Chorale was a perfect fit.

Did you also get a media invite or are you just going to be at the park?

FWIW, the photo of the drop from the station was originally a snap on Snap Chat.  The uncropped photo (minus the name) is on MIG.  The telltale sign that it was taken on Snap Chat is the time circle in the upper right corner

Media invite.

Y'all shouldn't have posted those pics (particularly on this site) even with the gate open. The park has been saving that. Even the drop perspective out of the station. That's equivalent to posting pics of OR's barrel rolls on here a few days before the official announcement even though they were out there.

I appreciate the sentiment, but if it's visible from within the park or the road, people are going to see it. If they see it, they are going to take pictures and share them. The theme park paparazzi goes way back to even before the internet. It's just part of all the excitement leading up to the announcement.

My rule is that as long as there is no trespassing or rule breaking then go ahead - everyone's going to see it anyway. I don't want anything "leaked", but in this case everyone who has been to the park for the last month has seen this giant drop. They aren't exactly trying to hide it. OR's barrel rolls were kind of different because they really were trying to hide them, but I think they were too close to the train tracks so people figured it out anyway, aside from all the leaks.

The drop picture must have been taken by a sub contractor. The employees I know are smart enough to keep that stuff to themselves until the announcement has been made, but they've been bringing in all sorts of workers to finish the station. I wouldn't normally allow it, but it was already out and it didn't show much more than what we had already seen.

Noted. They aren't exactly trying to share it out either. But yeah, it would have been fun to see some of that all at once on the big day. But I do realize it's out there and so be it. I'll be there Wednesday as well so see ya there!

Let's not encourage anything to be spread further just in case it is a real leak. I am hoping/suspecting it is fake or just fan artwork. We are so close in any case.

I'm much more worried about a news site publishing early in the morning. SDC will undoubtedly send the info out to dozens of organizations near and far, and a lot of places will write their stories the day before and load it up to auto-publish the day of the announcement. Sometimes it gets inserted into the morning news on accident - exactly what happened last week with the SFFT Wonder Woman announcement at 5am.

Probably all the same difference as long as we make it to Wednesday though.

You're seriously worried about KY3 getting a scoop on the morning of the announcement? lol Trust me, the good folks at SDC are much more concerned about Swoosh baiting people on spoilers than they are about legitimate reporting by local news outlets. I can promise you that.
