@ Cheeseheads, When is your first trip down scheduled? Hope to see you both.!
Who else is going to be there St. Pat's/Opening weekend?
I'm hoping to be but still ironing out details on season pass, transportation, and potential other trips. :-)
The wife and I will be.
Sanddune, don't know for sure when we can come down.....there is still a lot of lawyering from Bob's car accident.....the other guys estate is being troublesome. Bob also has been doctoring all along. He has some ongoing medical issues from that accident. We will try to get down sometime in the early part of June.

Good luck with the attorney situation, as well as Bob's health... Tell him Hello from me..., Keep in touch.!!
I wont be there opening weekend, but am scheduled for following weekend which happens to be my birthday weekend..
So extra day maybe, couple of shows, some adult beverages, Sdc to see the new stuff.!! Should be a good weekend... Hopefully will be above freezing!!!
We will be there opening weekend but do not know what day yet.
Looks like we'll be there Friday of opening weekend to pick up our passes and visit the park. Still waiting to hear when the media day will be for Time Traveler as well.
Will be there opening day....hoping Time Traveler will be open!!! Will also be there Friday the 16th.
I'm taking my granddaughters down for opening day. Anybody have experience on how crowded it will be?

If it's like Opening Day for Outlaw Run the crowds should be insane. Depends on the weather though.
I figured they would be insane. Wife and I are coming from Jonesboro. Hoping the weather plays out nicely.

As I recall, when Outlaw Run opened, it started the weekend (looked it up and it's opening day was a Friday). SDC's opening day this year, along with Time Traveler, is a Wednesday. That's going to have a pretty big impact on how many people will be there. I wouldn't expect it to be anywhere near as crowded or busy for it as it was when Outlaw Run opened.
Will there be a crowd? Very likely. But probably not huge, at least on the Weds and maybe Thursday. But expect the Fri-Sun opening weekend to be a very crowded mess unless the weather intervenes.

I was there the first sunday outlaw run was open. IT was COLD, trying to snow, nothing was running, by noon there had only been 250 people in the gate.!..
Hopefully same thing wont happen this year..
I'm bringing my wife tomorrow for Mother's Day. Anyone else going to be there?

You and several thousand of your closest "friends" -- I'd expect a busy day tomorrow. Nowhere near the record levels of last Saturday (It was over 29000) but it will be busy with it being "Rhonda Vincent Saturday" at the park.
Your only saving grace might be the fact that it is graduation weekend for a lot of area schools - but I don't think it will shave too many people off the attendance.

Another nice saturday? Yes, big numbers again... as Swoosh said not a record breaker, But there will a crowd. Enjoy the trip..
Actually, the crowd was not too bad at all--I have seen MUCH worse. There were several school bands there and quite a few Moms, but no real crowding.
The longest lines I saw were for the Lost River, but even those weren't spilling over into the area by the Riverfront Playhouse.
It was hot, and maybe the new ride soaked up part of the crowd. Dunno, but it was really a pleasant day.

Thats good for you.. I was surprised at the low number.. I kinda expected 12-15, but lower numbers makse a better day for you.. Grats!!
I'm looking to get a quick trip to the City on Tuesday. That's a prediction of rain if'n I ever heard one.
I'm staying at the Wilderness and will be in town until July 15th. On the shuttle now to the City!!!
Will be there for a little while tuesday morning...
Then I am going out on the showboat and check out the new show. I know it wont ba as good as last year withough Casandre', But I am sure it will be a good show.. (i hope)....
Showboat show was fairly good in my opinion. Lots of singing and dancing. Was hoping for a bit more comedy and magic mixed in though. They don't serve pink lemonade any more and my wife didn't like that. She said the food wasn't as good as year's past. She did not like the chicken, said it had a weird taste.

I will be on the NE corner of Gazebo, watching the flag raising. I Will Have my Black GTH hat on, sleeveless shirt.
See you there...
Ok. I'll try to meet you there!
It was great meeting up with you today Sanddune...hope you enjoyed the Branson Belle!
I'll be in Branson Sunday-Saturday for the first time since 2015 with over 20 family members, and we can't wait to be back!
@Josh. good to see you also... Hope you guys have a great extended visit and safe trip home... How long of a drive with camper is that anyway? I was gueesing 12 hours>?.
The Belle? music was a little loud, the singer that "replaced" Casandre' is NO where near the same voice or talent she is.. That being said, IF you hadnt seen previous show, or dont remember it, OR forget Casandre' was there it proably would be a "good" show..
I dont know if i will go back? maybe later?
Rumor has it Casandre' will be back for Christmas show... IF she is, I will for sure go back then..
Yep, works out to just about 12 hours. We will be going to the Belle next Tuesday. Too bad the shoe is not as good. My daughter in law will be here an we wanted her to see the show with Cassandre' (sp).
The wife & I, my brother, my step daughter & boyfriend, & a few others will be at SDC for Moonlight Madness on the 28th of this month. We wont be to the park until around 6-7pm. Anyone going to the park for some night time fun?

How did you like the Belle?

I know you're asking Josh this question, but I went to the Showboat for the first time Thursday and absolutely loved it. I never saw the show with Cassandre, so I don't know if it was better with her, but it is still an amazing show without her. I was there with 16 family members and everyone enjoyed it more than we expected to. It shocks me that they only charge $30 for season pass holders considering most shows cost more than that and don't have a meal included.
We will be at the park tomorrow from around 8 30 until 11 or noon. Then got back around 5-6 in the evening
